If I didn’t know better, I’d say the folks in South Carolina and in Kentucky–and the many states with their versions of the Religious Freedoms and Rights Acts–are trying to assure Justice Kennedy votes to affirm marriage equality across the nation. Please, keep it up, fellas!

Shorter SC: The framers gave us the right to discriminate against women. We don’t currently want to. (Translation: We just haven’t got enough nut jobs in place to do that now ) So of course we can discriminate against gays.

And this whole gay marriage thing is confusing: How do you know whom you’re supposed to subordinate?
