Discussion: Ryan Warns Republicans On Health Care: Trump Will Go Work With Democrats

Good for Bob Corker. (God, writing that didn’t didn’t pain me as much as I thought it would). Ryan is a complete lightweight, nothing like the fictional character created by his fans in the media.

I hardly see Dumblefuck both “working with Democrats” and putting forth a plan that can get past Scylla in the House and Charybdis in the Senate.

Did people start laughing after he said that?

"Because I want a patient-centered system,” he said, referring to Trump’s overtures to Democrats. “I don’t want government running health care.”

Why not both?

Ryan: “This president has proven his willingness to work with our sworn enemies!”

Reporter: “Are you referring to Vladimir Putin and the Russian oligarchs?”

Ryan: “NO! I’m talking about the Democrat Party!”

ETA - Ryan’s warning might carry more weight had his pissident not tweeted out

The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they don’t get on the team, & fast. We must fight them, & Dems, in 2018!

this morning…

Wow, all the impact of a broken cap gun. Way to go, Mr. Speaker.

So many tired cliches, so many lies, so little awareness of the mishegoss that is trumPP, so unaware that when and if trumPP rears his orange head and says anything to any Dem on health care, they will reply “Singleplayer.”

@bankerpup

@uneducated You’re looking at it.

What is a Conservative thing?

Because his plan isn’t about Health Care - it’s about cutting the taxes out (which made it revenue neutral) for big tax cuts for the wealthy. That is the most important thing to Ryan, and he won’t get that with the Democrats.

Ryan is blinded by his ideology.

He sure is good at repeating his crappy talking points. Next, can we “right-size” our health care?

Another point, isn’t it up to Ryan as to which bill comes up to a vote? So even if drump did work with Dems, how is it going to be voted on?

I think you’re right about that. In many ways, as I’ve said before, Rump is proving that G. Norquist was dead wrong when he said something to the effect that all the GOP needed was anyone with enough digits to sign their legislation. The scenario that they find themselves in now shows that Rump has NO idea what he’s doing, he thinks he’s dividing and conquering - except it’s in his own Party.

Ryan might find himself being challenged for the job of Speaker by the end of the year. He got the job last time because no one wanted it or felt they couldn’t get the votes for it. That calculus may change if the FC or the remainder of Rethugs feel like they’re being shafted by the so-called ‘policy wonk.’

Can’t be allowed to mix colors, right Paulie? This is disgusting ideology at work because he thinks “Well, at least the Russians don’t treat fags, cunts, Wetbacks, Chinks, and brown people fairly like the Dems.” That is always the thinking for those to whom Russia isn’t a dealbreaker

“I don’t want government running health care.”

Why? Almost every other devolved country has strong government oversight and support of healthcare. They have better outcomes and spend less. So thank you for your WORTHLESS OPINION!

Bob Corker: We have come a long way in our country when the speaker of one party urges a president NOT to work with the other party to solve a problem.

Where was Bob Corker when 47 members of his own party signed a letter encouraging a foreign government not to work with our duly elected President?
