Discussion: Ryan Responds To Trump: We're At War With Radical Islam, Not All Muslims

Rather than focusing on Trump, Ryan went out of his way to note that the GOP House has passed several bills attempting to address and prevent terrorism on U.S. soil, including legislation to close a loophole in the visa waiver program and a bill addressing the vetting process for refugees.

And what have you done to prevent domestic terrorism Ryan?

Not squat.

In America, domestic extremists are a bigger risk than foreign terrorism

Denying your religion to attain something you want in life is unfortunate. But I wonder if a Muslim ban, restriction or other religion based impediment was placed in a person’s path what is to prevent them (knowing of the impediment beforehand) from answering “Atheist” when queried about their religious status?

Or, in the alternative, “None of your goddamned business.”

The leader of your dystopian party disagrees.

…

What a jerk…

In January of 2015 PBO asked for funding to add an additional number of agents to focus on domestic terrorism. Congress did NOTHING…!!!

It is American citizens that are attacking Americans, not refugees or visa waivers.

The speaker did not mention his party’s nominee by name…

A not uncommon inability in today's GOP. Can anyone remember a Presidential election where one of the two major parties almost uniformly avoided linkage with, or mentioning, their presumptive nominee? I've been paying close personal attention since '68, and studied those previous to that. It's damned pathetic of the GOP.

Address this Ryan. Is it too painful or are you just numb to the pain your fellow Americans felt.

ORLANDO, Fla. — As the sound of gunfire in the nightclub grew louder, a patron named Orlando and a female friend took cover in a cramped bathroom stall, contorting their bodies on top of the toilet so their feet could not be seen. The gunman burst into the bathroom, went straight to the stall next to them and shot the people inside.

“People were screaming, begging for their lives,” Orlando, 52, said in a telephone interview, asking that his last name not be used out of fear of retaliation from terrorist sympathizers.

The gunman, Omar Mateen, was silent, then left the bathroom.

“He went out and started shooting outside again,” Orlando said.
For three sickening hours on Sunday morning, a life-or-death game of deception played out in a bathroom where the assailant holed up with hostages after killing dozens of people inside the Pulse nightclub. Orlando and his friend desperately tried to avoid becoming two more victims.

“Several club patrons told the Orlando Sentinel that Mateen, a married father, was a regular at Pulse. Several customers told the newspaper that Mateen came into the club to drink and was prone to outbursts.”

Doesn’t seem to that disavowing the teachings of a religion is actually that big of a barrier at all, does it?

Hey Jackass. … Radical Christianity is at war with Americans. You are wrong, myopic, and only, merely, ignorantly Politically Correct (an epithet, by the way) to limit your “understanding” to only radical Islam. Radical religion of whatever stripe is the enemy of Americans, and all of us regular folks worldwide who are members of all religions and those who claim no religious affiliation, we who want peace in our lives. Got it? No? Then Get it?

Then ban all semi-automatic weapons. This will result in fewer deaths from gunnfire. It will take much more time for murderers to shoot again and again.

Stop the murders! The NRA is supporting mayhem! Stop the murders!

Ryan is worse than Trump. Atleast Trump says what he believes, Ryan is nothing but a fucking coward.

But his mission was never to assuage OUR doubts, it was to let the press know that he’s still a Veryseriousperson and “moderate, reasonable Republican” and he’s still worthy of their continued veneneration and slavering commentary. Mission accomplished.

Why won’t Republicans say the words “Islamic religion”? Why are they afraid to say those words?

Resume of Paul Ryan

RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
In my roles as Budget chair, Ways and Means chair and House Speaker, I led the House to ideological rigidity based on a platform of sham policies and fuzzy math. Got walloped in 2012 VP debate. Helped produce two of the least productive Congresses in US history. Facilitated government shutdown. Am presently using duct tape to hold the House, the Republican Party, and my career together.

One of the problems is no one except the cops and the coroner ever see the exploded bodies from assault rife shootings . If they started publishing the pictures of those children cut to pieces at Sandy Hook , or the carnage inside that night club , maybe ,just maybe it might change some minds . To most people it has the impact of thousands of murders they see on their teevee it’s not real. We need to make it real

This strikes me as a pretty profound development.

At best, the GOP is Sister Souljah’ing their own presidential nominee.

At worst, it’s open warfare when other prominent GOP leaders feel the need to rebuke Trump’s ideas publicly.

Not enough duct tape in the world to corral those loons. Of all the times Myth Busters have demonstrated the wonders of duct tape this would be one where it fails the test.

Duct tape isn’t quite enough, I’d suggest a wardrobe enhancement.
