For me, the issue about the “new at this” argument is as follows:
DT ran on being an outsider. He ran on not caring how things were done. He was going to shake it up and drain the swamp. This was the entire premise of his campaign and precisely how he won.
No one should accept this willful ignorance as an excuse for why he is now in trouble. He doesn’t get to use “new at this” to erase the interference and obstruction. No way, no how.
I went to college not far from where Ryan lives in WI. My frat used to have a May Day party each year at which we hung Russian flags. More than once locals cruised by yelling at us for being commies. I guess Wisconsinites are OK with commies, now. My how things have changed.
There’s no proof that he wasn’t advised. It’s very easy to believe he was told he couldn’t do certain things and he did them anyway.
I am hoping that the suggestion that he’s ignorant will make Trump tweet that he knows what the law is he’s smarter than any so-called lawyer or judge, creating yet another exhibit for the prosecution.
That is exactly what you’re saying Paulie, and you’ve been using this excuse for Trump for quite awhile. That and I’m no going to comment on that, yada, yada, yada. Yu are a disgrace.
Seriously “I’m new to this” is an excuse you can make when you leave the lettuce off my sandwich at the deli, president of the US… that dog don’t hunt Monseigneur
The only rational explanation I can come up with, other than utter stupidity, for Ryan to stick his neck out so far to protect dt is because he is up to his Pinocchio nose in part or all of the multiple scams and treason in the GOP.
I’m almost to the point that I could live with dt not facing jail time if Ryan, McConnell, Sessions, Nunes, Ivanka, and Jared do. Dt is a tool that the GOP has used and they have put our country in danger by using any and all tools they can to maintain their power. They are the malevolency that has poisoned Congress for decades. They are the ones who really, really need to go.
