Discussion: Ryan Insists Phase Three Of Repeal Plan Would Get Democratic Votes

So, Eddie Munster is still trying to turn this sow’s ear into a silk purse, eh?

Democratic votes on “Phase 3”? Don’t think so, Eddie. Wouldn’t get that far anyway.

ETA: On the lighter side, New Yorker’s AndyBorowitz gives us some background information on RAyn’s proposal.

In Brooklyn, the phrase is “Woulda, coulda, shoulda.” Don’t they have anything like that up in Ryan’s country?

We have been hearing “Repeal” for 8 years. “Repeal and then Replace” for a few years less (after many in the GOP realized that to just revert to where we were in 2009 would be political suicide) – but the “Three Phases” we have only been hearing about for the past couple of days - AFTER the poorly executed rollout of the legislation. Yet we are supposed to pretend that this was always part of the plan - very transparent - and we should “Trust Him.” (Him equals anyone who sticks his neck out with this line such as Sec. Price and Speaker Ryan.)

Yea, that’s a winning ticket.

“Easy, peasy, cheesy”?

Well then, let’s start with Phase 3 and see how that goes before proceeding to Phase 1 or 2.

It’s guys like Ryan that make Trump look almost…I don’t know…sane. Ryan lives in a special kind of nonsense bubble.

At least Trump’s depravity seems pretty logical: he wants to steal, cheat, gamble and whore, and he has defense mechanisms for anyone that challenges him. He’s a crook and a con artist. I get it.

But Ryan…he has this lost look on his face like he’s living in a different world. It’s like he is actually the captain of the Titanic and he thinks sailing through the iceberg will somehow put him into a different dimension. There’s something megalomaniacal about him behind that standard issue dumb jock in a GOP suit.

Especially the cheesy part.

I disagree… Dems will vote for phase 3 because the vote is likely to happen after 2018 when the backlash against RepubNOcare hits the ballot box…

could be wishful thinking on my part, however… I was pretty sure we’d be talking about the 1st woman President today…

He looks like a bug on a pin from here.

Ryan hoped those two pages of taxes would give him a reprieve. Nope–it’s right back to the pressure cooker for him.

I was disappointed Ryan’s comments weren’t accompanied by a useless PowerPoint presentation. :innocent:

Trump: Frankly I am anxiously waiting for Phase 2020.

This is their “starve that dog long enough, it’ll eat whatever we feed it” strategy.

It has worked in the past…

Nope, Eddie, the Democrat’s are going to make sure what’s left of the GOP has full, unquestionable ownership of all the havoc and pain you are creating…

“We’re keeping this bill intact, but we’re obviously going to make some modifications per members’ feedback,” he said.

“We want to listen to our members and make improvements to the bill, so long as those improvements don’t make the bill harder to pass,” he added later.’

A couple of things here with this idea, #1 members aren’t talking to their constituents, #2 Rs have the Freedom Caucus and they don’t like anything, they don’t like democracy, their values are not as wide spread as they would like to think, and finally they have the most punchable faces, and #3 Senators don’t have gerrymandered districts Pauly, they have to convince the rich, the poors, and those in between.

Actually, Eddie Munster only uses a new Microsoft beta product called Power(less)Point(less).

Strangely enough, I feel Ryan is significantly worse than Cruz, who is pathological. Trump looks like a god compared to them, mainly because of his openness/predictability about being a complete aHole.

So if prong two are regulations which old regulations have been identified to eliminate per TrUmps EO?
