They were as serious as they always are when they talk about standing up just before they fold. McCain isn’t supposed to vote for this bill that didn’t go through regular order and now he’s calling it a procedural vote,
They’ll vote for it, the House will pass it after a weak attempt at conference and the creep in the white house will sign it.
Signaling to the House not to accept the bill they just passed?
It doesn’t matter which side of this issue one is on to realize that that is a very dumb and wasteful way to run a government or a business. The problem with government is Republican conservatives.
I swear those lowlifes can’t even bargain in good faith with one another, let alone with anyone thoughtful or sensible who has good values and wants to represent the interests of people who live here.
These are the money quotes:
“It is now obvious that the only path ahead is for the Senate to pass the narrow legislation that it is currently considering.
burden remains on the Senate to demonstrate that it is capable of passing something that keeps our promise, as the House has already done.
So it’s My way
:You guys pass the skinny legislation.
I or we decide if your product meets my standards for promises kept.
I’m old enough to remember that you armtwisted enough Reps to pass your own turd bill by telling them not to worry, the Senate would fix all of its comic-book villain cruelty. That was so last month. Now it’s he House “kept its promise.”
Back to Trump U, Ryan, for remedial classes in pathological lying. You’re just not very good at it.
Very clear: Ryan is saying either (1) the Senate passes a bill with huge cuts to Medicaid or (2) the House will pass skinny and ward off Medicaid cuts but kill Obamacare.
