No one can say we didn’t hear a peep from the Russians.

Hie-larious, Russkies. And here’s an even hie-lariouser image for when your own boy is running the world:

Once upon a time international diplomacy used to be a dignified, literally diplomatic, adult profession.

Yep. They were called “cookie pushers.” These guys are more like trash-talking end-zone dancers. We do have a saying here in the U.S. and A. about laughing last but whatever.

Another reason why they should get on splendidly with their man in the white house. Perfectly on the level when it comes to diplomacy.

Anyone who thinks this isn’t being run through the FIS station there and with direct control from The Center is fooling themselves.

The fact that the British haven’t done anything public about it is rather ominous, however.

Izzat number 2 dropping?

Looks like Russia is finding gainful employment for their millennials…

That’s one of the best comments I’ve seen on all of this. I bow in your direction: (- -) (_ _) (- -)

…they want rid of the lame duck so they can have their golden-egg laying goose.

Trump’s already telegraphing that he’s got Putin’s back.

NATO’s about to become a red-headed stepchild.

O boy!! I hope anyway.

Wow, that just deflated any chance of me thinking of the Russian government as anything more than a bunch of insecure twelve-year-olds.

With NATO and the UN neutered, with the diplo-speak under new management when Trump takes office, Russia will have everything they’ve ever wanted…a useful idiot in the White House calling the shots and barely knowing what he’s talking about. He’ll always be too stupid to know he’s working on Russia’s behalf, believing somehow its benefitting him financially perhaps.

Trump is also one that will be willing to ignore intelligence briefings altogether, or pretend he’s too smart to need them. The Russians won’t need deep-cover spies anymore, especially during a Trump administration. They’ll already have first-person insider information and insight into what’s going on. They’ll have friendly apparatchiks already sympathetic to their concerns working at various federal agencies while advancing their personal agendas. I’ll be surprised if any of these creeps will be made to show us their tax returns or business affiliations during the confirmation process. The days of Tom Dashle type confirmation processes are over. Trump appointees will be able to wield business with Russia even if it means compromising our national defense or selling out the country and no one will know what the fuck is going on. That’s what a kleptocracy does…and the Trump administration is shaping up to be just that.

Who needs an Aldrich Ames or another Robert Hansen when the GOP Senate is willing to confirm and rubber-stamp a bunch of already compromised Russian-loving bureaucrats and businessmen with known conflicts-of-interests ready to lead some of these very important agencies. And that’s not even counting the courtiers that will be surrounding Trump that don’t have to go through a confirmation process.

On practically all matters, Trump has changed his views over and over again over time. The one and only thing he has remained steadfast on is trying to convince everyone that Russia isn’t a bad actor and we should all ignore the bad things that they do, even when its in relation to our national security because he refuses to believe that’s an issue. The man is dangerous only because he’s too stupid to realize how he’s putting the country in an untenable situation vis a vis Russia.

Trump spokesman Sean Spicer, a question for you:

Will Trump or any one of his Russian-connected nominees for administration positions make the White House comfy for Putin’s spies?

Now Putin’s wrists match the red in Russia’s flag, I suppose that’s someone’s idea of “foreign policy.”
Americans are, as usual, misdirected into answering the wrong question.
The question the “media” should be asking" is similar to the famous “What did he know, and when did he know it” (I believe that’s from Howard Baker, but I haven’t had my tea yet, so I’m not certain.)
The “he” in this case isn’t Putin. It’s Mr. Dump.
This series of events did not take place in a one-sided vaccum. As much as some people would like us to believe that they did.
Trump’s contacts with anything touched by Putin (And what is there In Russia that is not touched by Putin?)
and any contact no matter how “casual” it may have been should be excavated into the sunlight of public record.
This ought to include anyone and everyone on Mr. Dump’s campaign staff on any level at all.

It’s not the Russians seeing Russians behind everything that goes wrong with the Democratic Party.

Since you seem to know -

Just what is it they want? Your list seems pretty low on details. You think Trump is going to give them Alaska back?
