In spite of some high-profile spats, there is still a lot of Russian based media active in the US and thanks to the Net, around a very small world.
People seem to be so mystified about how Russia knew how to target this or that in the 2016 elections. It was and still is quite simple. The Russians watch American media more closely than most Americans can imagine. There are people in Russia who know more about American pop culture right now than some older Americans do.
And rather than some 1950’s film about an American town built in Russia to train agents (true story) the people who track what America says and thinks have lived in the US, been educated here, and know America better than Americans do.
Most often it comes off as a sort of bad joke in pulp spy novels; But the truth is that by being as open as America is (and should not change) combined with the way America imposes her culture into other countries, the US hands its opposition all they need to know. All Russia and other countries have to do is take notes.
The mistake Americans make is in the assumption that other foreign powers are as "laid-back and sloppy as America can seem to be at times. China, Russia, Persia, all ancient civilizations who invented the sort of “watch, listen and learn.” which most Ameican fancy as having been “invented” by the United States. American arrogance is a “free shot” that others who don’t like the US will take anytime America hands it to them.
So these redneck tees don’t surprise me in the least. The once quantity I’ve learned never to underestimate is American Gullibility.

What these shirts really say is that they’d rather be Russians than Americans. Becuase their chosen God is far more of a Russian-type leader than an American one. I wish the shirt wearers and their fellow Nuremberg rally attendees would come to understand this - that they’d be much happier in Russia - and move there. All of them.

I think we now have a solution. Send them all to Russia. Russia suffer from a declining population so this will be a big help. of course these people are self-made morons. Jim Crow allowed some of their ancestors to survive because they had black people to do the work which they could not do.
The Trump phenomenon is simply the latest manifestation of the racist core of the US and the lie of the Revolution.
What has always been bizarre is how can a settler society give rise to a blood and soil movement?

Gawd – I just checked my yearbook to make sure I didn’t go to school with these guys. Couldn’t find them, but I’m sure some of my Delaware classmates were at that rally. Still, I’m hoping my former hometown will end up blue tomorrow. In the meantime –

Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA), and a President who cannot say one negative or neutral word about Putin, yet slam LeBron James as dumber than the other black guy since he dropped $50M on a school for at-risk kids…

How about we let them draw a certain amount out of their Social Security for airfare and one month’s support. I’m sure Donald will make Putin an honorary American citizen just so none of the Trumps end up being indicted. But would Vladimir muddy his Russian citizenship and show disrespect for The Homeland? No, Putin has the better gig and he knows it.
