Discussion for article #225783
âOne of the definitions of âterroristâ is using intimidation to achieve your goals,â Brand said to wrap up his media criticism session. "Who in that situation was behaving like a terrorist? Using intimidation, bullying, being unreasonable? Sean Hannity. Thatâs where the terrorism is coming from."
Good call, Russell.
Thank goodness Russell is on the job.
We can all sleep soundly now.
And watch while Hannity freaks out on camera about how decadent and disreputable the âex drug addictâ Brand is. For somebody who bullies as much as he does, Hannity sure does have a glass jaw. I donât think he can take a punch.
Probably not worth giving Hannity the publicity. This is what he wants.
Seriously? Itâs a facially ridiculous thing to say. I despise Hannity and everything he represents. But that doesnât make the statement any less absurd.
Whoa! So, if Russell Brandâs analysis is correct⌠then are we saying that Sean Hannity is just a propagandist with a show that amounts to punching straw men and 2-minutes of hate for the people angry and stupid enough to tune inâŚand doesnât in fact try to extrapolate reasonable debate or get to the heart of whatever issue is being discussed?
MindâŚblown!
Not enough, apparently.
Not enough to lose my sense of what words mean, true. Obama Derangement Syndrome isnât all that different from Hannity Derangement Syndrome.
Sounds like Russ got under Seanâs skin. Maybe he can take some of the charity money he grifted to buy himself a silk hanky to wipe his tears.
#PuleezeâŚ
âŚletsâs not digress into fantasy here.
Neither Russell Brand nor Sean Hannity are persons to whom asentient being should go for intelligent discussion about anything, much less the Middle East. Move on, folks.
Seriously, if your hatred of Hannity leads you to applaud Brandâs comment because it is anti-HannityâŚ
Agreed. Iâm afraid many of us over here have just one word for Russell. Pillock.
So, youâre really defending Hannity here? Wow. Good luck with that.
A recurring tactic of Hannity, et al. is to deny a position, change the subject and then effectively claim that the initial charge was in regards to the new subject. Useless PS.
I disagree. I greatly admire his Guardian pieces. Heâs whip-smart, and an incisive and sensitive writer.
When Karma comes knocking on Hannityâs door, it isnât going to be pretty!
I dunno. I think this piece is one great piece of writing.
Yeah, having Russell Brand doesnât really do anything for a persons cause, but he did get the issue right.
"âHamas will seek to destroy Israel at any cost, even by using fellow Palestinian women and children as human shields,â Hannity said. âBut apparently Russell canât get it through his thick head and possibly fathom that this is the reality.â
Well, that does confirm that Hannity was bullying someone he knows doesnât have a choice in the matter of how Hammas acts, and gives tacit approval that itâs OK to kill the human shield if youâre trying to get to the root agressor.
