Rubio’s life has run the gamut of Christian faith.

In other words, like every other policy area, he’s willing to be anything to everyone. Whatever it is that YOU believe in, HE believes in it. Too.

Religion is a damn useful tool for politicians. It gets them forgiven. It gets them money. It gets them votes.

If I want my taxes processed professionally I don’t care the religion of my accountant. My torn ACL can be repaired by a Hindu. My car tuned up by a Muslim. Whatever I need done, so long as it’s done for a fair price and in a professional manner, can by done by anyone adhering to any religion. WTF does it matter the religion of my President? It seems his two main jobs are to manage the military and the economy to the best of his ability. We want to be safe and have a job.

Religion is the root of all evil. Truly. It’s unfortunate the concept of religion ever took hold.

"The purpose of our life is to cooperate with God’s plan, to those who much has been given much is expected and we will be asked to account for that," Rubio says in the 30-second spot.

I assume Rubio is implying atheists have no purpose in life.

Oh wow. At last, he finally “opens up.” Republicans are usually so secretive about their religion.

I don’t ever want to hear anyone from any region telling me about their faith. Keep it between your family and your place of worship, because IDGAF

A Real Clear Politics analysis of Iowa polls puts the freshman
senator in third place with 11.3 percent support.

11.3% ? So, WHY does Jeebus hate you so much, Marco?

Maybe you should pray harder – or try yet another religion.

He states his job is to cooperate with God’s plan – and how exactly is it that he knows with certainty what this supposed plan is? Is it the war of armageddon to usher in the second coming of his lord and savior? During the last GOP debate, it sure sounded like that was what he was thinking – with the exception of Rand Paul, they all did.

morningbro ran this today; and joescar mocked him, saying if he was church deacon (or whatever it is) in florida and they were looking for a new preacher, he’d recommend rubio… he was actually disgusted by the obvious pandering…
what a sleazy, pandering, dishonest pos.

He is angling to sew up the Mormon-Catholic-Baptist vote in Iowa. Godspeed.

He assiduously avoided mentioning the green mojo bag with the black cat bone, chicken feather, dice cube, and the quarter he got in change the day he stood in line behind Warren Buffett at McDonalds.

Come now. God’s plan is whatever his donors want. Because his donors, having been endowed with tremendous wealth, clearly are favored by God Almighty. Now you know why money is the same thing as political speech according to that self-flagellating Opus Dei freakazoid and his brethren on the Supreme Court.

“No God and no religion can survive ridicule. No political church, no nobility,
no royalty or other fraud, can face ridicule in a fair field, and live.”

Hmm… “political church?”

Rubio has a burning bush nursery in the Everglades.

His faith–whatever it is–seems to tolerate lying.

Hey … MARCO . . .

If it’s OK for you to believe in this…

Is it OK for others to believe in this?

From Mormon to Catholic to Baptist? It might cover all of his political bases (conveniently), but makes him ripe for suggestions that he doesn’t know what he believes. What is his next religious belief? Zoroastrian?

Can you fight God’s plan? And if not, I guess that means that Rubio is saying he’ll continue to do nothing, just as he has as a Senator.

And, of course, if your God’s plan can be derailed by me…sorry, your god is a pussy.

Oh puh-leeeeeeeeeze, Marco.

If you follow Jesus you’ll be concerned about the poor and vulnerable in our society. But the Republican candidates who profess faith are more concerned about protecting the rich.
