Discussion: Rubio On Climate: ‘Not Realistic’ To Move Toward ‘All Solar Panels' And 'All That Stuff’

Rubio is 99% correct in this case – that climate change is absolutely going to occur, and that it is going to devastate Florida. Literally half of Florida will be underwater within 100 years. As a senator of Florida, he has to work on this. Even if the USA goes all-solar-panels – as we absolutely should – climate change is still going to happen, and will happen fast.

It’s “all that stuff” or the end of human civilization, ya moron. When global warming destroys agriculture and there’s no food, the Economy is going to be the least of your worries.

but I’m also not going to destroy our economy.
That’s good because climate change is doing a fine job of that by it’s self…

Marco ‘Death Cult’ Rubio says what?

Just how high does he think Florida can be lifted?

I really miss that “can do” spirit unique to America and admired by foreigners across the world. Now, Republicans have become caterwauling crybabies, greedily and desperately defending industries deleterious to our survival, and rigidly clinging to outdated beliefs not based on good science. All while their communities suffer and their citizens die.

"…how we manage water. We’re all over that, we’ve been working on that very hard.”

And how’s it been working out so far? How have you been managing the sinkholes that constantly come up all around FL due to the limestone base of the State?

“And so we’re going to have to do something about the impact that it’s having on low-level coastal areas.”

Yep, something, something, something…

“In the end we’re all dead, so why bother ?”

Not sure that message is going to win for you, Rubio, in 2020.

P.S Denmarks rightwing (and rather incompetent) PM is aiming at stopping sale of gas- and diesel cars in Denmark by 2030…

Mother nature always bats last, always.

Senator, how long can you tread water?

If the economy is more important to you, senator, than living, your priorities need to be re-assessed.

These are statements from someone who has spent too much time in the sun without protection, drinks water from sink holes that has not been purified, and swims in the red tide.

this idiot lives in MIAMI…a city built at sea level…during heavy rains. every summer… streets are flooded due to the ocean water coming up over the sea walls and thro’ the storm water drainage system, MIAMI - DADE sits on a flood plain…as for solar… MIAMI-DADE get 364 days of full sun per year…of course. solar doesn’t make sense to LITTLE MARCO.

Yes Sir, ain’t that leadership? I mean when the world goes to shit, at least we have a freaking ECONOMY to bail us out. Ride the wave of global warming to a golden economic era, where the poors are dead and this creep and his buddies are left with what, exactly? They are so craven and evil. And stupid.

Yep, something, something, something.
Yes that something will of course be done with taxpayer money you can bet…

Rubio is still addicted to fossil fuels. He would rather see Florida blown off the face of the earth than have to find a new source of campaign funding.

We need some whistleblower scientists from those industries to expose just how seriously global warming is regarded by them.

the GOP continues to try to pass off themselves as smart savvy business people and refuse to see that oil and coal are dead…

instead of investing in wind power and solar power that generate lots of jobs and don’t fuck up the climate…

LOL, the thing to do is to quit writing cheap insurance policies for people who build at sea -level and below…and that
‘something’ is to quit building on sea-level area’ and on flood plains…FLORIDA’S WATER table is very close to the surface…and so much of MIAMI-DADE is built on ‘filled’ land…

The GOP is planning to just let Florida sink below the waves and ship the remains to Texas.
