Marco Rubio has no spine at all.
I’ll bet all the quatloos I have that he’ll cave for the vote.
Based on his history, Rubio has sufficient reason to vote against confirmation. That he didn’t commit to do so means he will vote to confirm. It is what it is.
There ain’t enough wind in China to tell Marco which way to go. He’s holding out until the chance for pushback is nil.
On the decision making scale, Marco resides just below weather vanes and Jello.
C’mon! Little Marco is, as we speak, is being offered A) being hammered into electoral oblivion, B) being subjected to an actual ethics review of his lacksidasical record-keeping, or C) being named the VERY FIRST AMBASSADOR TO FREE CUBA.!
Shall we guess which offer he will take? Shall we guess which poutcome he’s gonna get?

OF COURSE he will be a yes vote. He simply wants to be seen as deliberative and serious and not kneejerk going with his Party. Besides, Rubio has never shown much courage before; why would he start now???

At least Marco showed up for work the day of the hearing. Let’s see if he makes it in the day of the vote. Very busy man, you know. And, if he misses the vote because of another important commitment, then no one can hold his vote against him. It’s called “taking a stand - Marco style.”
Since he’s incapable of asking a serious question, what’s his scam here?
Rubio is (in theory) one of my senators, and the last few times I’ve called his DC and local office, the lines have been busy and voicemail full. He’s getting blasted by angry constituents right now. I think the weasel’s trying to figure out a way to vote for Tillerson and keep up appearances, but it’s not going to be easy.
