Discussion for article #247556
I think that Trump would refer to Sen. Rubio as simply a…loser.
He’s just going to take his toys and go home. Goodbye, Marco. Hey, you forgot your bottle of water!
" And then I’ll be an unemployable private citizen in January DESPERATE for a cushy sinecure. Hopefully, right wing think tanks won’t realize my sellby date"
“OK, now, could someone tell me again, where is my Senate office?”
Shorter Rubio: Pick me as VP or for the Cabinet. Please. Pretty please.
I like how he says this as if he had a choice in the matter.
Good. This is what I figured he’d do. He didn’t really want to be a politician. He just wanted to be loved. Now that he’s faced a little adversity in the love department, he’s turning tail and running. That’s why he might have been the most dangerous one to be president, because he panics easily and doesn’t know how to face adversity.
He’s always just relied on his boyish good looks and ability to recite talking points given to him by smarter people, and that’s it. He wasn’t power hungry and didn’t even have Bush’s bully instincts to carry him through. He was just in it for the popularity contest. And had he become president, he’d be clueless how to do anything and we’d be in more messes than people thought possible. And every world leader could totally screw with his head while his aides spent all their time either explaining things to him or reassuring him that everything would be ok if he just relaxed.
Congress is the place for a pretty boy like him, since party elders and the base just want politicians who look good while repeating their lines. But now that he’s tasted the brass ring and been humiliated, he’s taking his ball and heading home. No longer will we have Rubiobot to kick around anymore. He’s got some money to make.
he’ll be a “private citizen.”
Considering the amount of time he puts in as a “gentleman from Florida” I’d say he already was.
What, he’s going to work, like in the sense of having a job and actually doing it?
Sounds pretty traumatic to me.
“…have some things we want to achieve.” Like attending a committee meeting. Like voting. Like actually SERVING as a senator, the job to which he was elected and for which he is paid $174,000. And those Republicans make those false claims about welfare fraud. How about SENATOR FRAUD?
Adios to the “Savior of the Republican Party”. Marco, we hardly knew ye…
What an overrated a-hole. Calling President Obama treasonous. No wonder he focused on Trump’s schlong. Because he’s a d-ck!
So what will it be – life insurance or residential real estate?
HEADLINE: RUBIO HOPES DESPERATELY THAT GOTP WILL BEG HIM TO RUN FOR SOMETHING
Ambulance chasing. Ads on TV in Spanish. “No tarifa a menos que consiga el dinero para usted.” (“No fee unless I get money for you.”)
Goldmann or JP Morgan?
Faux News. Speeches to corporations and Wall Street firms at $125,000 per. Another book deal. The whole right wing grifting routine.
Marco sez," "I’m going to finish up my term in the Senate. "
Why bother?
I believe the same people who called Rubio the savior said the exact same thing about Rand Paul. Which had zero to do with or any sort of actually possible future.
So, you know, anything to sell a magazine.
Geez, give the poor little guy a break.
He finally got something right.
