Discussion: Rubio: Don't Watch Trump On 'SNL' If You Object To Him Being On The Show

Discussion for article #241972

Or, you know, being a free country, voice your displeasure like that group was doing and Rubio was unhappy with.

Yes. And if you don’t want an abortion, don’t get one. It’s a free country.

“Don’t watch the show,” Rubio said. “I mean, if you don’t like the show that he’s on, then they should turn the channel off and not watch it. It’s a free country."

I did use his strategy during the Republican debates, and it worked out fine.

The Rube also endorses overturning what Obama has stood for, and at a fracking equipment company in Ohio, he endorsed fracking and construction of the Keystone pipeline…

And if you aren’t gay, don’t marry a person of your same sex.

And if the Miami Cubans don’t like the normalizing of relations with Cuba, they can move to another country, amirite?

Not watching would be like not watching a train wreck or not slowing down to see a really bad accident. You know you’re going to watch!

It’s nice that Rubio believes in freedom of choice when it comes to television programs but if Trump had referred to Cubans in the same manner that he slandered Mexicans protests would have broken out in Little Havana and Hialeah.

I have no problem with Trump being on SNL because I still don’t believe he’s really running for President. And I don’t mean “Oh my god, I still don’t believe he’s really running for President!” I mean I believe Trump is perfectly cognizant that he will not be elected to the Presidency in this or any other presidential election cycle.

What Trump is doing is soaking up every ounce of “celebrity” star-power he can, to fuel his media operation (and incidentally gratify his ego). He’s just an evil and powerful Pat Paulsen.

Guess what Marco It’s SNL everyone will watch.

The Rube knows you can do both at the same time, right? You advise a company of your displeasure at a decision they are making and if they choose to go ahead you can boycott by not watching their show or using their product. The group that expressed their unhappiness at NBC know this and don’t need Rubio to condescendingly tell them about freedom.

And I agree with a poster above (MRF); had Trump slammed Cubans the way he did Mexicans, Rube’s attitude about this would be VERY different.

Could we just turn down the sound when he’s onscreen? That’s what I do everywhere else.
