Discussion: Rubio Defends Immigration Policy That Would Have Shut Out His Parents

@George_C
The grandfather came very closed to being deported but someone in an immigration office gave him a break so he didn’t have to be told “We’re not going to let you in” by someone as soulless as his grandson.

Mr. Garcia was granted status as a parolee, a gray area of the law that meant he would not get a green card but could remain in the United States.

Were Marco Rubio’s parents documented and legal aliens at the time they entered this country?

Some may say that this is an argument for deporting Marco. He’s admitting he’s an anchor baby. But then that’s still better than Cruz who was born in another country and kept that citizenship until he wanted to run for president here.

Some of my ancestors never had a visa or were documented. They were here on the shores watching as boats full of illegal Spanish, French and English citizens who entering this hemisphere as barbaric invaders.

Your point is moot. Illegal is in the eyes of the beholder.

Make the policy retroactive. Hey, lets eliminate the wet foot dry foot policy, I don’t hear Rubio advocating that change. Make Cubans go through the same process as every one else. That said, I am happy to welcome people to the US. Legal or illegal. I don’t think the Native Americans approved everyone who came here and took their lands. Fair is fair, everyone come and be sure to bring your native foods. Yummm

I hear that Marcobots parents were here even before Castro came to power. His entire story may be a lie.
