Discussion for article #245752
It’s pretty clear now what kind of porn Sen. Rubio prefers.
Deep bench, baby, deep bench…
The kind that doesn’t feature any actresses?
As I just said in another thread, when Rump gets through with everyone else and trains his sights on the Rube, it’ll be very ugly. There’s no level of depravity that Rump won’t descend to, Especially if it involves young Rube’s manhood and intelligence. Rump knows where his jugular is and his aim is precise. Rube won’t be able to come back at him fast enough or hard enough; he’ll just keep repeating the same attacks on Rump that he was told to say only once.
The bigger problem here is that the GOP are fighting the last war, ALL repeat the same talking points, and are all trying to position themselves as renegade/conservative, populist/pro-business, pure freedom/pelvic legislators.
Good luck with that.
Getting very glitchy. Someone needs to format the Rubot and reinstall its OS.
Seriously, though, you hear stories about baseball or basketball players who start thinking about what they do, about how hard it is to hit a ball or get one through the hoop, and then they can’t do it anymore until they stop thinking about it and get their game back. In a similar vein, it looks like Rubio has started worrying about whether he’s repeating his talking points too much, and now he can’t stop doing it.
This is how you know you’re actually dealing with a nihilist. They have no beliefs really, nothing has meaning to them and talk about ideology, morals and religious values are merely tools…convenient vehicles (clown cars) for self-promotion…and as a result, they have to develop a careful scripting of their positions that is often too rigid to respond thoughtfully or creatively to questions, information or issues they had not thought of when developing the script. They cannot deviate from the script to speak fluently on a topic, because there are no beliefs and ideas to fill in the blank spaces.
This guy’s toast, but I sincerely hope the GOP/Teatrolls don’t catch on.
I had no trouble believing smart TPMers who repeatedly said Rubio is an empty suit with nothing going on between his ears but a swishing sound. That said, I never took it literally. He’s truly empty. Just a Chatty Cathy doll repeating a script when his string is pulled.
We get it TPM, he keeps giving the same standard stump speech.
Isn’t there anything better to nail this guy on?
Perhaps, a Script-Me Rubio doll?
But Darrell Issa said that he is “Reaganesque!”
Probably and it’s likely coming, but this is easy and he’s doing it to himself. The optics of that standing next to Hillary on the debate stage are priceless.
I always trust the judgment of Mr. Darrell “Grand Theft Auto” Issa.
“And we know how hard it’s become to instill our values in our kids instead of the values they try to ram down our throats.”
“What are these values that you hold so dear, Marco?”
“In the 21st century, it’s become harder than ever to instill in your children the values they teach in our homes and in our church instead of the values they try to ram down our—” Rubio said, stuttering over his words as he perhaps realized he was repeating himself, "—throats in the movies, in music, in popular culture."
Same issue that I had with Jindal: preach about immorality, yet all the while…
How many more times is the Marcobot going to hit the self destruct button before it implodes
What is it with Republicans and their constant fantasies about having things rammed down their throats?
actually that peculiarity would make for a great attack ad…
Honestly, this isn’t about a guy getting flummoxed and repeating scripted lines. This thing reveals the naked emperor. There’s no there, there. He’s just saying words that have no real meaning. And he can’t deviate from the script because he’s not actually smart enough to do so. He’s an actor auditioning for the role of president. While Cruz and Trump are dangerous, stupid and quite possibly evil, they at least have the ability to think on their feet. Marco doesn’t. That’s almost scarier.
I think what’s scarier is the EdBlog Josh posted this morning:
