Rosenstein had a very polished shiny object statement practiced and ready long before going into the Oval Office, but his notes say REDACTED.

I was going to comment on that one too. It’s these sorts of off-hand comments that reveal clearly–not that there is any doubt—how utterly skewed Trump’s conception of right and wrong is. “Wrong” in this context is doing something that is not in his immediate best interest. “Right” for him is–of course!–acting to obstruct justice. Simply the reverse of what any coherent ethical code would dictate.
Always fun to remember that this guy is the hero of the Christian right.

What if we are all wrong? What if the Mueller investigation finds that there was no direct & verifiable connection between donald and Russia? What if don jr. gets off with his “I’m a political neophyte” defense? What if Kushner faces no penalty for things that look treasonous?.
Reading a lot of projections into the future, and things that we see as oh so obvious, the GOP side doesn’t see it at all. Perhaps Rosenstein is saying to donald that he isn’t a target, and maybe he isn’t a subject.
One example: Comey is stating that he doesn’t want to see donald impeached.
As much as some of us are daily (hourly?) mortified by donald’s bull-in-the-chinashop ruination of the norms and of the prestige of the presidency… there are people who just simply ADORE dolt-45. There are parallel universes here.
IF the culmination of the Mueller investigation is that " there is no collusion, there is no obstruction" that can be proved, will it be a gut punch to people in one universe, and a day for celebration for people in the other universe?

According to the story, Rosenstein told Trump he’s not a target. Trump later told his advisers that he’s not a subject. If he doesn’t know the difference, tough shit for him.

What ever happened to “The buck stops here?” We have a man who surrounds himself with sleaze and garbage and who lies almost every time he opens his mouth. He may have avoided doing the dirt himself and used the filth around him to do the dirty work but that’s an old mobster trick that hasn’t worked all that well for other mobsters.

Definitely. Seems to me they also forgot about that ‘redacted’ thingy. tRump’s obsession with his own dick seems to come up over and over again. No pun intended.
One example: Comey is stating that he doesn’t want to see Donald impeached.
The Democrats should avoid being defined as the party of impeachment and election nullification. Instead, make Trump the embodiment of the Republican party. IF Republicans get trounced in mid-terms particularly in state and local races, they will become the ones calling for him to be impeached.
