Is it just me or does the photo being used for this article make you think that’s the look, the facial expression, of a man who is thinking “wow dude, you’re going to regret this shit once I can tell you and you finally know what I know…”?

This is a spectacular exchange that demonstrates not just how deeply the House republicans are in Trump’s pocket, but also that this is it – we’re at a tipping point as a nation, a government, and a society. As it’s currently configured, the House will do nothing to put a check on Trump’s power grabs. In fact, they will abet them at every opportunity, for motives we can suspect but do not yet know. Taken with Trump now having a Supreme Court vacancy – a choice that could very well determine the fate of the Mueller investigation…well, this is it. This lowlife could have effective control over all three branches of government. This will leave only some pretty drastic action (i.e. national strike) as our only available option, and I can only hope our society has the stomach for such a thing. This could get much darker before we see some light.

The clock is ticking on our way of life.

When it comes to Jordan, I’m pretty sure Rosenstein’s expectations are considerably lower than that.

All the more reason to protect the supreme court from an appointee made by the fascist in chief. These republicans are rushing to consolidate their obstruction of justice bastion and give us all cement shoes and pitch us into the sea. We the people must not let that happen.

Yes…saw this exchange…it elicited a lot of laughs in the chamber…at jerk jordan’s expense.

Rosenstein certainly did a lot of paper shuffling too, as his face grew redder. It looked like the paper business was to keep his hands occupied and his temper civil.

Thank you.

Wonderful diversion. For most of us, it is just sinking in that SCOTUS took a massive dump on average citizens, and we probably should be talking about that rather than Jim Jordan’s dog-and-pony show to generate material for Fox tonight. It is frightening to see our democracy so far off the rails, not just for Americans, but in most liberal democracies around the world. Hold on, because the court is coming for your pensions, your health benefits and education at all levels. Once entitlements are secured, an autocrat such as Putin, can give them back in dribs and drabs, winning eternal gratitude. What do pensioners think of Putin? They love him, even if Russia has struggled throughout all four of Putin’s terms to break free of its pay-as-you-go Ponzi style pension arrangements. Collapsing the social safety net will put tremendous power in the hands of a few, and that is really what this is all about.

I am cheering for you AAG Rosenstein!

So glad you were firm and frank in responding too that dumb congress idiot from Ohio today!

He will NEVER be as intelligent as you and that’s what he’s truly pissed about. Just because he was successful in getting low educated white people to vote for his trashy ass, does not make him smart at all! Rather, it makes the congress idiot, an idiot!!!l

And I can’t believe it’s all being caused by Donald fucking Trump. THIS is the guy the republicans rally around to lead them? THIS guy?? It’s jaw-dropping.

Maybe it could only be him. He’s a pure distillation of the republicans’ cartoon-character spirit.

Exqueeze me?

Oh sorry. Seeing that you replied to yourself, it struck me as funny that maybe there were actually two of you instead.

Nah, I talk to myself all the time. Cheaper than therapy.
