Discussion for article #237636
AndâŚandâŚand you didnât think to tell someone that your roommate is busy planning on shooting people?
There is no crime of misprision of felonyâthe failure to report the plan to commit a crime before it occurs any more. But you would think that this man might have figured that he should say something.
In the old south itâs called, âjust some white boy talkingâ.
âHe was big into segregation and other stuff,â Tyler told ABC News. âHe said he wanted to start a civil war. He said he was going to do something like that and then kill himself.â
And what was Dalton Tylerâs response? ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ
And neither Roof nor his roomie ever mentioned any of his plans in any communication, otherwise the NSA would have been all over him like white on rice.
They will likely investigate this guy too. He might end up being charged if he was privy to such a plan and said nothing. But it has to be pretty clear cut due to law changes. He would have to have enough knowledge where it almost makes him a co-conspirator.
So glad the roommate told someone about it before hand.

I donât think it rises to the level of criminal culpability unless more comes to light, but the dumbfuck meter is pegged pretty far to the right.
And dbushik down thread hits on the more salient point, that this guys racist rants, talk about segregation, wanting to start armed violence against blacks, etc. was so ânormalizedâ and excusable as âSouthern Prideâ as to not even merit telling anyone about it until after the fact. That is the real problem.
Right, they need documentation. If this guy was getting emails about the plan, etc., he could in fact be charged. Otherwise, not likely.
If you see something say something - like if you see a suspicious black person walking a dog or pulling into your driveway, or swimming in a pool. That kind of thing.
ââHe was big into segregation and other stuff,â Tyler told ABC News. âHe
said he wanted to start a civil war. He said he was going to do
something like that and then kill himself.ââ
And you Tyler didnât think it important enough to tell anyone??
Actually, investigating after the fact will probably reveal that his plans were in plain sight all over the internet. The NSA probably missed it because they were so busy making sure that they were scooping up ALL the data, that they forgot to read any of it.
I think maybe we should âHunger Gamesâ some contiguous southern states, after evacuating all the non-Republicans. Minus the awesome train.
Itâs reasonable to think if a guyâs talking smack about killing black folks and starting a race war that the person who hears this racist stuff and talk about murder should let the cops know, donâcha think?
I agree. Itâs also reasonable not to buy a fâing psycho a gun for his birthday. Safe to say âreasonâ doesnât get a lot of airplay between the ears of these numbnuts.
No one appears to have thought it out of the ordinary until after he committed mass murder. I guess within their milieu, this kind of talk and display of racist imagery is considered perfectly acceptable.
Exactly my thoughts too, Dumb fucks
