Whaddya mean, no hearings?
You have to wonder
Could have just stayed in the background , politely declined the offer and just gone about his business until a nice juicy retirement.
Youāre in the spotlight now and you sure as shit wont be working at the White House much longer.
We hear thereās an opening at the Naval Base in Guam

Finally. Now Dotard can get a really good pick for VAā¦maybe Dr. Spaceman?
[/quote]Maybe trump will nominate Jared for the job. He doesnt seem to be very busy with the peace in the Middle East thingy right now anyway.
I think they smell blood
The WA PO and a few others aināt going to let that sleeping dog lay
Well, how nice of Admiral Dr. Jackson to bow out the morning of the day Scott Pruitt goes before Congressā¦great timing! Iām sure Pruitt was hoping the media would be swarming the Jackson story and ignoring his appearances today.
Guess the universe had other plans, eh?
Anyway, if Jackson has problems, he needs help. In fact, one wonders why, if things were as they have been alleged, some kind of help wasnāt mandated for him, or why he was allowed to continue his duties.
As it happens, I wonder the same thing about Trump.
Sorry, Dr. Jackson, that help has to come your way only after Trump ā and your decision to accept a nomination for a position you werenāt qualified for ā turned your life and your career to crap. Perhaps the consequences of your own lapses of judgment will convince you to seek the help you need.
And now we brace ourselves for the announcement of the next nominee to head the VA. Dr. Feelgood? Dr. Nick? Rand Paul - as a thank you for the Pompeo vote?
[eyes rolling, as usual]

Ronny: āIām entering (facility of choice) to deal with (problem of choice)ā
Well, if the charges are baseless, then why donāt you be a man and fight them? Because they are not and confirmation hearings would be embarrasing to you.
This says it all:
Sarah Huckabee Sanders defended the administrationās background investigation of Jackson, insisting that he āreceived more vetting than most nominees.ā
The extent of the the vetting must have been:
āDid you meet with Russians during the campaign?ā
Either that or SHS kissed Jackson to make sure he tasted like Trumpās assholeā¦
āSeems my illegal opioid-dealing, drunken, and abusive past has become a distraction. Typical Washington.ā
The best peopleā¦
No matter what the veracity of these allegations are Iām just amazed Trump and others havenāt blamed Obama for this.
At least he passed the Dotard clueless loyalty test.
āI did not expect to have to dignify baseless and anonymous attacks on my character and integrity."
Tell that to Obama, Hillary, and anyone else who has run afoul of President Ragey McRage.
The best thing about this episode is that it finally offers an explanation for Dr. Candymanās glowing report on the Dotardās āhealth.ā It is a perfect example of the pattern of kissing up and kicking down that so many staff members reported. At the time, it was puzzling (and in fact shocking) that an actual M.D. could make such over-the-top statements. And it is clear now that the Candyman was simply trying to flatter the Dotard. He correctly figured out that no matter how outrageous the flattery, the Dotard would lap it up. He was right, as far as it went. Fortunately, the nomination gave an opening to the staff members who had been kicked around for far too long.
Nicely said.
Of all the corrupt and incompetent people Trump has nominated, is Jackson even in the top half?
Ah, Ronny, we hardly knew ye. But we knew ye well enough, as it turns out.
Iād like The Press Clown to tell all of us today which allegations against Dr. Jackson were āoutrageous,ā as she put it yesterday,
Itās amazing how many of them ignore the āIād turn back if I were youā billboard right outside that swamp.
Even though he withdrew, it seems to me that having a personal physician to the President who is a drunk and running a mini pill-mill should be investigated.
