Discussion: Ron 'Secret Society' Johnson Claims He Is 'Certainly Not' Trying To Discredit FBI

When people use the phrase “dumbest man in the Senate”, everyone knows to whom they’re referring.

Is he trying to discredit himself? Try or not, he’s succeeding.

Or would be if he had any credibility.

And in the running for “dumbest man in Congress,” although I think Louie Gohmert has retired the trophy.

For my own part I’m certainly not calling the lying idiot Ron Johnson a lying idiot and when I say he’s aptly named for a male body part I’m not saying that in a derogatory way, I just want people to laugh and point at him and think ill of him. Just making that clear.

Given the political climate in the post-Palin world he had to know it wouldn’t be forever.

Wisconsin, why do you keep sending potted plants to Washington?

This guy is just fucking embarrassing.

LOL. Redux…

Russian intel institutions interfere in election.

GOP participates in and benefits from it.

GOP damages our own intel institutions on behalf of Russia’s intel institutions to protect themselves.

Certainly sounds a lot like we had to destroy the village in order to save it.

Johnson apparently thinks he needs to destroy the FBI’s integrity to save it. He of all people should know it doesn’t work that way.

It’s always the cover up that gets them

Charlie Sykes was talking about how sad it is that Johnson has lost whatever integrity he might have once had, and that to see him so hysterically spouting complete shit was to realize how far the Republican party has fallen.

Here’s where I fall down on all of this - if we are to take seriously the text exchanges between a romantic couple, who trashed nearly every politician in DC over the course of several months, when they texted that Tramp’s win should be the topic of the first meeting of their secret society, then we must take 100% seriously the email from 12/29/16 from KT McFarland in which she wrote:

If there is a tit-for-tat escalation Trump will have difficulty improving relations with Russia, which has just thrown U.S.A. election to him,

JFC, is anyone took my own text or email history - or even comments on this board - as 100% non-sarcastic, snark-free absolute truth, I would be in trouble. Most of us would.

…so that potted plant could vote himself a massive tax cut? Perhaps there should be a constitutional amendment about members of Congress cutting their own taxes.

@maximus I think you’re looking at this the wrong way. Johnson (and Walker/Ryan) is obviously the byproduct of McCarthy’s corpse seeping into Wisconsin’s groundwater.

Why are all the wacko conspiracy kooks Republican? Must be an offshoot of faulty genetics…

Lots of folks liked the lies they were being told, the empty promises made to them.

Getting our truth to sound better than GOP lies is one of the fundamental underlying challenges for the Democratic Party going forward. It’s easy to make a lie sound good, and sometimes the truth just kinda sucks.

Is it really surprising that the dumbest man in the Senate does not understand sarcasm?

“Are you even going to give out your calendars? Seems kind of depressing. Maybe it should just be the first meeting of the secret society,”

That’s the sole mention of a secret society. But context doesn’t matter to the GOP or the media.

That being said, I am going to have to agree with a tweet I saw this morning. How can no editor not use the headline “ILLUMINAUGHTY” when discussing secret society texts between lovers??

@ifeveroheverawiztherewas Lost twice. Both times to Johnson.

Johnson is certainly not attempting to impugn the FBI’s integrity, just his own.

Just because he went on national TV and made claims for two days in a row in order to ‘start a conversation’ doesn’t mean he’s two-faced flip flopping fool for taking it all back, sort of, with a line about the FBI needing to clear their reputation.
Except it does.

Secret Society Johnson will stick with him forever.
