Roger, we hardly knew you. But the women who worked for you knew you all too well.

Now don’t give him any $$, Fox News, just fire him and let him live on whatever small savings he managed to keep while he was harrassing women he worked with.

And if, by any chance, he committed a crime, (harrassment is not often criminal, just ugly), IF he committed a crime, throw the book at him and have him fight it in court.

Thumbs up for getting rid of dirty old men from the workplace!

Aw, too bad. I wanted this to drag out for weeks.

CNN immediately announced it had hired Ailes, and MSNBC apologized for missing the oportunity.

So on the night of Trump’s big speech he has the Ailes resignation to compete with in the news cycle. Seems appropriate.

“Small savings?” Do you have any idea how much they were paying Jabba all those years? It was yooooge! The 40 million golden parachute was just sprinkles on the evil ice cream cone.

The most expensive “But I didn’t get any!” in history.

You gave me a chuckle on this tawdry hot last day of the RNC freak show.

By the way, has Fox News posted this on their web site? Have they reported it on the air?

“Roger Ailes has made a remarkable contribution to our company and our country. Roger shared my vision of a great and independent television organization and executed it brilliantly over 20 great years," Murdoch said in a statement.

Independent all right. Independent of facts and truth.

What a scourge on America.

…but, but, but… Trump himself said he had seen or read nothing that suggested there was any truth to the story that Ailes harassed anyone…

Yeah, sorry NCsteve, I should have used the /S for sarcasm indicator. Of course, he’s a multi-bajillionaire by now. $40 milllion severence package/golden parachute, totally wasted money; they should hire some competent honest reporters with all that money for a change.

And while they are at it, cleaning out the attic of dirty old men, how about they get rid of Bill0, too?

Trump and Roger Ailes go way back, way way back… back to Trump’s first wife, or even before.

When cigarette companies finally had to stop pretending that nicotine wasn’t addictive and cigarettes wouldn’t kill you, they didn’t take the nicotine out of cigarettes, they took the cigarette out of the nicotine delivery loop and added kid-friendly flavors. And then, once the kids were hooked, wouldn’t you know it, they started buying cigarettes again.

Fox uses the same business model as the alcohol and tobacco industries. Post-Ailes, they’re not going to stop selling fear and rage (which are, of course, one thing, not two). They’re just going to give us more kid-friendly, tastier, less smelly, chocky, nasty delivery systems for it.

Apropos of Fox News to go from a CEO who is 76 years old to one who’s 85.

More in touch with their viewer base, I suppose.
