No. Baggers are fake conservatives. There is nothing conservative about them. They are Reactionaries.

"Principled conservatives like Pat Roberts are the solution."

First, ā€œprincipled conservativeā€ should be declared an oxymoron. There is only one conservative principle: ā€œItā€™s mine and you canā€™t have it.ā€ Conservatives en masse always remind me of the seagulls in Finding Nemo ā€“ all shrieking, ā€œmine, mine, mineā€.
Second, if Pat Roberts is the solution, how come he hasnā€™t solved anything in the past 30+ years?

There is going to be a settling out time period of a few weeks to get a better view of it as a 2 person race.

But something does seem to be happening in Kansas this year. I wonā€™t go as far as say its turning purple, but they do seem to have reached some limit regarding the GOP.

I watched the ad again, and I think the most powerful part of it was all the links of Orman agreeing (at first this made no sense, how do you attack a guy and then say ā€œlook at him agreeing with me!ā€). People who like the ā€œOrman messageā€, know that being an independent means sometimes agreeing with people from different parties (gasp!). The sly effect of showing Orman agreeing though, is probably an attempt to make people think ā€œpoliticians are all the same, why vote.ā€ The Rā€™s have got to believe their get out the vote machine is better, so general vote depressing is a good thing for them.

Plus moderates are just harder to get to vote. No matter what kind of silly ads are out there, Orman is a real independent who is willing to say I agree with this party on some issues and the other party on others. Which is so refreshing to me. Makes me wish I could vote for him as we need more people to admit that just because you like a particular R or D policy, it doesnā€™t mean you like them ALL.
