I think he might actually have been first.

Ha, ha, ha…yeah sure…he’ll “evolve” as the years go by on the court and he’ll oh so worry about his legacy.

I think the rhetoric’s a bit overblown. I doubt that many people outside the US even know who O’Connor is. Not to mention the troglodyte population here doesn’t know either.

We live in an overblown world.

Does he even show up or is it just rumors?

May I suggest you try blazing some legitimate paths of your own you effing tool? Thanks!

“no illness or condition can take away the inspiration she provides for those who will follow the many paths she has blazed."

He could have added that “her willingness to steal the 2000 election, and sign onto an option that literally said, the principles we rely upon to steal this election can not be used in any other case has been a shinning touchstone of my jurisprudence”

Sorry, that one theft will forever destroy O’Connor’s legacy. All because she wanted to retire from the Court and wanted to be replaced by a republican.

I was talking about Roberts, I assume you are talking about Thomas?

Oops, but yes.

I’ll never forgive Justice O’Connor for waiting until she had retired to tell us that she had made a terrible mistake in holding with the majority in Bush v Gore.

I cannot forgive that on so many levels.

She gave the commencement address at my niece’s graduation. I was in the nose bleed seats, grumbling under my breath and having conflicting thoughts about it all.

it’'s tough. I would have felt better if she had just kept her mouth shut about it. I could have lived with that a lot better than with finding out years after the goddamn fact, a Middle East war later, that she knew it was wrong at the time.

Right there with you, but I was also contemplating first woman SCOTUS and all that jazz. It pretty much began my thoughts about women conservatives/Republicans being worse than the men because some know better and toe the line anyway.

Word. You know they know better.

It’s exasperating.
