I usually agree with your posts but not this time. I was born in 1947 and âmilked being youngâ by dropping out of college after my freshman year and volunteering for the Marines. After the experience of being a rifleman in Vietnam I went back to college on the GI bill. However the GI bill (at 75$ a month) did not begin to cover all the expenses so I wound up working a 40 hour a week job on the swing shift at a local hospital as an orderly. I really donât think anything was given to me, and by working I did not have to use any student loans.
It is different now I well realize, with the expense of college now no student could put themselves by working, even full time. But then I did pay for my daughterâs private college education (federal plus loans are my eternal friends) but she came up with loans and funding for law school.
Again I donât think broad generalizations have any value for any generation.

I looked back at my post and realize that you nitpick one small part of the text and take it out of context. This was not my main or only point and damned for sure wasnât intended to sink into your shitty view on life. Make of it what you will.

Either way, I donât care. TPM is hard for me to tolerate so please forgive my attitude. Iâm moving on to progressive sites to do my posting. Canât handle the DLC Dems here. And TPM is no longer relevant. Just look at the main screen.

The whole point is the pessimism that De Niro just freely hands out like everyone naturally agrees. But, then he backs off a bit. I made a reference to the greed that has contributed but that I feel is coming to an end, it wasnât even close to what I was really talking about or De Niro. Youâre wrong about that too.
Do you know what being a bad sport means because that it was you are when you get called out then say, Oh well-I donât care. You do care, you just take cheap shots and arenât man enough to admit it or to say sorry. You also arenât the arbiter of what is or what isnât relevant.
People move out of town to supposedly get away from their problems, or drinking or drugs, only to realize that they are the problem when they find all of their problems wherever they may go. True progressives wonât tolerate you any more than the real progressives do here that you insult and run from.
