Trump is literally threatening the fabric of our democracy and the best the RNC can do is say “we are not helping him”.
This “we would never do that” nudge nudge wink wink horseshit is only circumvented by publically, vocally denouncing the Trump polll vigilantes.
Maybe a federal court will knock them for violations. God knows the FBI or congress have made their stance of party over country perfectly clear.

I think the GOP just hates email as a concept. There is no sure way to CHARGE a fee. I think they preferred fax, quip or telex. So they “weaponized” it.

Having the RNC do an internal investigation then actually believing a single word that they spew forth about it is exactly this.
Now, they can be penalized for breaking the consent decree and for lying about their violations to further their guilt.

In their motion last week, the DNC had pointed to comments made by Gov. Mike Pence (R-IN), Trump’s running mate, in August suggesting that the RNC was helping with the campaign’s “ballot integrity” initiatives. The RNC said Wednesday that its chief counsel John R. Phillippe Jr. had interviewed Pence, and that Pence “confirmed that he made the statement based on his incorrect assumptions, and that he has had no contact with the RNC about any ballot integrity program and has no basis to believe that the RNC is working with the Trump campaign on such efforts.”
