Only if the RNC hired Democratic party operatives could they build a competent operation on the ground anywhere.
RNC Falling Short On Its Ground Game Promises
Their passing game sucks too.
All (R)s ever seem to do is play defense.

No ground game. No polling organizations. No data-driven campaigning.
Boy did the RNC luck out, because that is just the way Trump likes it.
The question is whether anyone wants to be associated with this years campaign for any Republican.
Problem solved for the GOP:
Twenty weekly Chuck Todd/Andrea Mitchell Tag-Team-Specials, broadcast nationally (and twice that number in swing states).
Oh, I don’t know - I find them to be very offensive!
So basically they’ve decided to sit out this election? That would be great.
GOP promised jobs.
No jobs.
It’s 2010 all over again.
But we can mitigate it with many fine dog whistles.
True. They might be thinking what’s the use, save as much money as possible for the establishment heads and rely pretty much on the MSM doing their jobs for them.
Add to that the fact that Trump has grossly exaggerated the number of supposedly new voters he has
attracted to the polls. They could be in trouble.
But I don’t think Chuck and Andrea will be knocking on doors, leaving behind brochures, staffing phone banks, lining up barbecue parties and livingroom meet-and-greets for the local candidates, or driving Ms. McGillicuddy from Magnolia Lane over to the polling place and back in time for her stories. Having an historic freak at the top of your ticket is an advantage in some ways, but it doesn’t solve every problem or meet every need. Despite what the freak thinks. : )
From what I’ve read the number of new voters he’s attracted ranges up to approximately none. Seems the supposed new people are actually GOP voters who typically didn’t bother to vote in primaries.
THERE IS NO NEED TO PANIC!!!
So, no knocking on doors, no phone banks, no BBQs, no driving and add to that drumpf’s notion that he will be Chairman of The Board of the United States and do little more than preside at meetings with sycophants.
The vice presidential pick will also be part of the process of proving he’s ready for the White House, Manafort said.
“He needs an experienced person to do the part of the job he doesn’t want to do. He seems himself more as the chairman of the board, than even the CEO, let alone the COO.”
How soon before someone finds Rience’s hidden bottle of cereal drowning Bailey’s?
But how is this so? Senator Sanders’ surrogate Jeff Weaver spoke in glowing terms of Mr. Priebus.
Where’s the disconnect?
He really has no idea. Won’t have to bother with the boring, niggling day-to-day stuff. Big-picture guy. Man oh Manischewitz, what a crazy man. No idea at all.
Sounds to me like instead of the GOP establishment not endorsing him, they’re just not really working on his behalf to get him elected. Shrewd move since they can appear to fall in line behind him and not go against him ala Mittens.
I don’t think that Rump really cares about it; after all, he believes he IS the GOP at this point. So who needs them, eh?
Did you see, not just read about, when an interviewer asked him about the taco-bowl tweet the other day and Reince said, “He’s trying.”? You have to actually see it. He looked away, wouldn’t make eye contact, and just sagged like a snowman in the sun. I’ve never seen a sadder man outside of an opera or a funeral parlor.
