He might be right. I heard Trump is interviewing the FBI’s ten most wanted for positions in his administration.

indicative of the confusion in today’s Republican party Reince confuses the words strongest and dumbest…

Todd asked if Priebus talked over him.

I think he did.

Does The Rump know he’s 3 points less unpopular than Nixon?
Go for it Donald! 72% unfavorable is totally achievable!
Don’t be a loser.

I don’t think Priebus understood a word he said.

Every time this dude speaks, sounds to me as if he’s totally slushed from drinking tons of liquor.

To my mind what is so frustrating isn’t that Drumpf is a horrible candidate–he is–but that the Democrats can’t point out effectively that Drumpf’s positions are, by and large, the same positions of the GOP.

Let’s review what Rance and his minions said about Trump’s Obama Birth Certificate Canard when it was in full bloom over the course of many months in 2011: …

Clinton has been doing exactly that since Trump launched his campaign. She’s made a point to say that his positions are in the GOP platform, that all the other Republicans agree with him too. And I’ve seen several others make that same point after his punishment for women who abort comments.

I actually don’t think the problem is Democrats staying on message or a willingness to point these things out. The problem is that Trump’s behavior keeps sucking all the oxygen out of the room. Before Clinton’s or other Democrats’ comments can even get reported out, Trump has already said something even worse. There’s also a constant tsunami of stupid, dangerous, racist, and/or sexist remarks that some of the even more egregious stuff is glossed over, like his refusal to say he wouldn’t use nuclear weapons in Europe.

ā€œSure, I think all of our candidates can win a general election,ā€ Priebus replied.
…
That’s some bubble and denial of reality this guy’s invented.
My fantasy is the whoever these clowns nominate will get not even.one.electoral.college.vote. Not ONE.
Complete and total ignominious defeat And I hope the clown who loses the most is trump cuz he deserves it the most. I hope the American voting public speaks LOUDLY about their rejection of his bullshit.

No problem. He’ll run as an independent and sink Cruzer and the GOP either way.

@Pluckyinky, here’s the visual to go with your take on trump’s campaigning style:

Besides, republican candidates continue to both attack Trump and present their versions of Trump’s positions. No need for a full-out attack at this point. Once they’ve finished brawling and the final brawl is done in Cleveland, there will be tons of footage to point out the obvious. With primary turnouts as low as they’ve been, it’s good to remember that much of the electorate isn’t engaged yet.

I sure hope we get to see Team Blue clobber the pants off of Team Red, and no, I’m not talking about Villanova and Oklahoma.

Chuck…he just said, ā€œSure, I think all of our candidates can win a general election,ā€ with a straight face.

Why in the world do you think he is going to give you an honest answer to any other questions??

I mean, I know you didn’t finish college, but ostensibly you did start your career reading polls. Surely even a dimwit like you can see the writing on the wall for this fall.

Republicans need to win 45% (at least) of the Hispanic vote, all other demographics holding the same, to win in November. They will be lucky to break 10%. To make up for that short fall, they need to win something north of 70% of white voters (some analysis are now pegging it close to 100%). Trump is underwater with EVERY white demographic group…including non college educated white males (52% have an unfavorable opinion of him). Women alone make up over 50% of the electorate, and 3/4 of them have a VERY negative opinion of Trump.

Freaking Larry Sabato sees Hillary starting with over 340 electoral votes either safely blue or leaning blue. We only need 270 to win.

The proper follow up to that bold face lie is to recite some of these figures to Preibus, and impolitely inform him to stop blowing smoke up your ass, not to engage in the beltway version of ā€œWill Ashley say something mean about Missy if I ask her??ā€
