It isn’t always apparent or clear when Trounce the Flopper admits defeat and it may seem like he really believes that he won but with a cursory reading between the lines you can just about see the tears, hear the sobbing and feel the burn.
Plus, if you notice, these claims always come with 20/20 hindsight. Why didn’t Trounce implore Gillespie before it was too late? Answer is, because he’s a fair weather prognosticator that only makes calls once its obvious and a done deal.
