I was laughing uncontrollably when I read that White House staffers have been hearing for months Trump saying in private the bigoted opinions he finally said in public yesterday, and they were shocked that he would say that at a press conference. But I guess they smiled and said "Great job, Mr. President, sir!’ to Trump as he said them.

Just like Jason Chaffetz originally said ,he could not support Trump after his pussy grabbing highlight reel came to light,because he had a daughter, Ronna decides she can explain Trump’s morally reprehensible statements to her children. Ronna - just like Jason ,you had a chance to show your children what it means to have a moral compass, a backbone, at moments like the Charlottesville killing of a young innocent woman. If you support trump, Madam Chairwoman, you then support what he said. You can’t equivocate or avoid it. He is a Nazi alt-right white supremacist supporter. Resigning on a point of honor isn’t hard. I have done it. I resigned a good paying job on a point of honor and felt good about it. And the result was an enormous increase in respect from those who know me. And it resulted in a better job too.

The top three groups in Trump’s base in terms of numerosity are evangelical christians, “ultra rural” folks, and Mormon enclaves. The evangelicals have long been tied in with the KKK and the Mormons, well, it’s a pretty fucking white religion, especially management in Salt Lake City. Up until 1978 black people were some sort of sub-human race, although somebody might want to clear that up.
Or proudly proclaimed they wouldn’t vote, or continued to trash the nominee after the convention. Yes, they must be proud.
