Discussion: Rick Perry Continues Trump Camp Attacks Against Khan Family (VIDEO)

Was Perry asked about the Benghazi mom (and Larry Klayman client) speaking in Cleveland?

“Because he had a son that was lost in this war against terror,” Perry asked, “that gives him a free ride to say whatever he would like against a candidate that he is not for? That is not proper. That is not correct.”

It really would’ve been wonderful if Tapper responded by asking if those sentiments apply to the mother of the man killed in Benghazi as well. I don’t recall any of these assholes taking her to task for her many outright lies.

Department of The Interior dreams.

@pluckyinky

The president said it best. "Jake Tapper left journalism to go to CNN.’

@marby Tapper typifies the stenographers Colbert alerted us to during the bush reign. As to trumpet and the black vote, the Rs are freaking out because he won’t talk to them and completely ignored any attempt to do so when he was in Detroit. He’s turned down invitations to speak to black gatherings and has made numerous inflammatory comments. And I count “There’s my African American” as inflammatory.

It is true Ricky that it is fair game to challenge the conclusions Khan reached with regard to Trump but it is not fair game to attack Mrs. Khan for not speaking or to claim that Mr. & Mrs Khan is anything less than an American family who lost a son in an American war. They are a Gold Star Family, a distinction I am sure they would rather not have received.

The GOP has used military service as a “free ride” against criticism and as automatic evidence of leadership ability and character for as long as can be remembered. Unless one is a liberal…

My friend, that ship sailed a long, long time ago. Now he’s an irrelevant, indicted, cheap political whore. When does his trial begin?

Please proceed, governor.

Just when it was slipping from the headlines, Gov. Goodhair brings it back up.

Poor Rick. He makes more sense on the sauce than off it.

While it may be fair game to respond, it’s both incredibly stupid and heartless to get into a pissing match with grieving parents. All Trump needed to do was say something about respecting and honoring their son’s service, being sorry for their loss, and decline to take it any further. That’s it. There was no need to challenge anything. All he had to do was let the Khans be a one or two day story and keep it moving.

Molly would have had a field day with all of this!

Keep talking. Texas isn’t quite blue yet.

No one has ever accused Rick Perry of being the sharpest tool in the shed. Every once in a while he needs to remind people why Texas A&M jokes were invented. My poor Texan Daddy was an Aggie. Were he still alive, he would not countenance Rick tho.

Like she wrote about the Texas legislature and its biennial sessions: “Every two years, for 140 days, every village in Texas knows where its idiot is.”

Rick Perry is, as they say, “not too bright.”

When Texas sends its people, they’re not sending their best.

More likely a pardon.
