Discussion for article #227922
Wrong, unethical, tactless.
I can’t wait for his trial to begin.
99 years oh please oh please 99 years
Typical Perry. Open mouth, insert boot.
Daniel, who is this “Joan Rovers” you have Rick Perry talking about? Triumph the Insult Comic Dog’s opening act?
Somebody forgot to clean their “smart glasses” before they left the house…
People never die in hospitals? Oh Rick, we need to talk. Grandma and Grandpa aren’t really living in a farm far out in the country.
“…to put rules and regulations into place…”
The difference between conservative and liberal government is that, with liberal government, the people choose the rules and regulations. In conservatism, the government elite do.
Simple reason: he’s an idiot.
There is no limit on which this man’s warped mind can come up with.
I am reading this right, aren’t I?
The law passed in Texas said that clinics where abortions are performed have to meet the same standards as ambulatory surgical centers, the argument being that this will help safeguard the lives of women who go there.
Joan Rivers’ surgery, which she later died from (and which also was not an abortion), was performed at an ambulatory surgical center.
Perry is saying that if the standards the Texas law seeks to hold abortion clinics to had been in place at the center where Rivers had had her surgery, she might possibly be alive.
Is Perry somehow under the impression that Rivers had gone to some sort of back-alley vocal-cord surgery place? That’s the only way his argument would make sense: that he’s just uninformed. And/or is Rick Perry.
So Joan Rivers was getting an abortion?
No?
So then Gov. Perry has pushed for beefed up government regulations on out-patient clinics of all kinds?
No?
So Gov. Perry is a disingenuous poltroon?
Got it.
Perry thought Joan Rivers might have needed the services of a pregnant woman at age 81? Looks like she got the last laugh on all male politicians and comedians.
That man is a huge embarrassment to the Lone Star State. Why do they keep sending their mentally deficient into national politics?
To get them out of the state.
So Governor Oops, are you now going to have the same laws for these other types of outpatient clinics? If not then using them as your very weak example, as to why this very restrictive law is so great for the protection of women is just totally ridiculous.
Each time Perry speaks a warm little glow comes over me from the memory of his total and final self destruction in the primary debates of 2012. You go Oopsie!
Why is he so stupid?
PErry IS SpoT on. IF PEOple GO to HOSPitaLS whEre THEY cAN’t GEt ABortions, LIKE CatHOLIc HOspITals WHicH maKE up A large SHARe of HOSpiTALs, THEy CAN liVE forever ANd NOT dIE LIKE thEY do wHEN theY go TO AmBULaTORY cliNics, WHICH is LIBtard CODE for ABOrtiON Mill. STOP LIBtard CULTURe OF deATH and SHUT dOWn AMbuLATory ABortion MILLS!!!111!!!1ONE!111!!1!!!
Does this guy need to reinforce every day that he is a “dumb azz”
Why does this precious concern for women’s health focus all its energy on closing clinics and none at all on preventing hospitals from denying admitting privileges for other than strictly medical considerations? Just wondering aloud…
My head hurts from reading this article, I should have known better. Perry is just as dumb as can be.
