Discussion: Republican Women Face Uphill Battle In November

Discussion for article #227494

This story is a good example of uninformed journalism. I live int he district Stefanik hopes to win. We have a tradition of strong Republican women. My state senator is a woman–Betty Little. yesterday’s Republican Assembly primary in my district was between two women, With longtime assemblywoman Janet Duprey the victor. Another district is represented by Theresa Sayward. Republican lost the house seat here 6 years ago when an upstart Tea Partier went on the ballot against the female Republican nominee and split the Republican vote. Stefanik’s chief obstacle will be from Republican women who resent Karl Rove completely blowing off this strong tradition and inserting an “attractive” young woman of his own choosing with no ties to the Republican party here. Little, Duprey, Sayward–none of these are cute faces. They are intelligent, independent women.

Unfortunately there is no such thing as a new type Republican. They have one policy for every situation and nothing has changed in the last thirty years. The rich get richer from lower taxes and government services suffer as a result. The poor are targeted as lazy bums sucking on the government tit and the middle class pay for the programs we do have. Unions are looked on as destructive to the wealth of the rich and fought at every turn. Don’t tell us you are a new type republican you are the same job killing Communist Chinese loving democracy destroying Republican we always had the only difference is your female body parts

Any woman who is still a Republican is either stupid or a masochist.

Or both.
