And guess what?! It might just be that we don’t have to build this and we don’t have to construct anything! All we really need to do is to allocate resources reasonably to true demands that the country faces, with reasonable consideration given to the finite nature of the resources! But this is a troubling realization, isn’t it?
This means that all of those morons rabidly roaring their approval of the totally unnecessary and unaffordable at Trump rallies were no more than that, utter morons! Not merely, how Hillary described them, deplorables!

You are missing the Republicans’ bottomless capacity for hypocrisy. You imagine they’re operating on some sort of principled basis. Absurd. They would happily sell their saintly white-haired grandmothers into slavery if it would suit the politics of the moment. They will cave, or they’ll make simple trades: Trump’s bullshit in exchange for sticking it to everyone on everything except for the rich, who will reap massive windfalls at everyone’s expense.

Totally agree in so far as opposing his initiatives. The wall is the perfect example: classic case of a solution chasing after a theoretical problem, the only wrinkle being that it’s expensive almost beyond belief time with no significant benefits to the population whatsoever. Unnecessary expense comes at a time when we really don’t have that much money to throw around.
For a while at least I believe that legislators will want to dodge responsibility for bucking Trump but as it becomes clearer and clearer what a moron he is and I should say psycho as well, they will get more comfortable in opposing not just the initiatives but also the crazy man responsible for them.
I think Republicans should create a Go Fund Me for the wall.
