Just assume the south will always be the south, and the other infected parts of the country will soon come to their senses.

Ignorant regional hatred first thing in the morning? Nevermind facts like…Kansas has been so deeply red and backwards that it has inspired an entire book and saying, “Whats Wrong With Kansas”.

Just focus on how truly heroic you are fighting the good fight on those front lines of California or New York or some other deeply blue state where you provide such outstanding members of Congress as Darrell Issa and Peter King.

THE RNC exists to promote free enterprise, because their patrons favor a world where a short list of people elected by cash can make more of the decisions that protect their security from ours.

Conservative dishonesty always cloaks their real intent—the further enrichment of the already obscenely wealthy—in the language of “job creation” and “smaller government.”

Their claims are the political equivalent of “The check is in the mail,” or “The dog ate my homework.”

Sufi66, Just when did Wisconsin and Kansas become part of the south? Don’t make it just a southern thing. To do so makes it seem as though it is just a regional problem. It’s not!!! These crazies are all over the place including wherever you are. To suggest that they are somehow limited geographically is to underestimate them and that is dangerous thinking.

DaveyJones,

Sorry, in my rush to reply to Sufi66 I didn’t read further to see your excellent response.

Brownback’s biggest problem is that his opponent, Paul Davis, has support from Eisenhower Republicans all across the state.

Kansas is reliably willing to elect a Democrat as Governor, regardless of the legislature’s majority.

For the past half-century, there’s been a constant see-saw of authority residing at Cedar Crest.

But when you talk to Republicans facts don’t matter.

But they don’t like free enterprise, they like to favor existing businesses and dissuade new ones.

Their Presidential aspirations slate is a comedian’s dream team… ‘Teflon Scott’ Walker v. ‘Oops’ Perry would be an interesting cartoon debate.

I expect brownback, scott, and walker to be ousted. mccory, I am not sure about. jindal will stay, because voters in louisiana are too stupid to vote him out.

“Ignorant regional hatred first thing in the morning?”

Which “region” contains Kansas, Texas, Wisconsin, and Louisiana?

This isn’t about hatred, regional, or otherwise. This is about policies that have been implemented, in the name of helping the respective economies, that have done little other than help the wealthy.

It is up to the voters to end these experiments. If not, those states deserve what they get.

Alright then: this is all truly awful. Who is standing up to make the case against it all-- effectively-- to the voters of the respective states?
A lot of people have been taken in somehow, as in What’s the Matter with Kansas?, revised and enlarged ed. Somebody somehow has got to find a platform and words to show a way out.
