Good, and it looks like he needs to concede his mouth to a dentist.
Finally!
The thought that this little asswipe, the guy that GW told to “make yourself useful and get me a burger,” almost got into the senate is sickening.
Geezuz, I was thinking the same thing. Hasn’t he heard about Crest White Strips???
Whew. That was a close one.
Thank God! This turkey is lower than a dung beetle, and not as useful.
He would have won if Chris Christie had donated one of his chins to Ed.
No surprise. I bet he wants to run for governor in three years.
Gillespie “rode a wave of support for GOP candidates nationwide…”? Please. This race was shockingly close for only one reason: Obama. His approval rating in VA is 40, and Warner did well to get 49% of the vote. In fact, he tied the popular Jeanne Shaheen for the largest difference between Obama’s state-wide approval rating and the candidate’s share of the vote (for Shaheen, it was 43-52).
This was no Republican wave, it was absolutely an anti-Obama wave. Many people don’t like him and for many in VA, their desire to register that disapproval overcame their liking for Warner. Shaheen led Scott Brownby 15 or even 20 pts when their race started, and her campaign was not bad at all. (Certainly not as bad as Coakley, the only candidate Brown has beaten outside his home district). This wasn’t a wave of GOP support–it was a wave of negativity that’s been building up since the ACA website rollout fiasco, accentuated by the “ISIS is the junior varsity” comment, and brought to a head by his “Ebola’s not coming to the U.S.” hyperbole.
A bright blue spot in oceans of red…
In general I agree with your post. We just need to shake off this midterm. Look at it for what it was: a shitty cycle with no one overwhelming reason for the storm. We’ve got to prepare for the take-back in 2016. The first step in that direction is to stand with Obama. Most all those mutherfuckers who through our man under the bus are mostly gone now and I shake my ass in there direction for their stupidity.
For the next two years the Dems need to put Obama on their shoulders. Ending this presidency touting all of his AMAZING accomplishments sets up our next nominee and the rest of the field going into a VERY Dem friendly cycle.
Come on Scott…with Gillespie out of the picture the race it’s is yours to lose…excuse me, maybe I should have phrased that differently…
Now you can go back to passing wind instead of sucking ass, Eddy.
Good.
Meanwhile Carl DeMaio isn’t conceding yet, but at this point for Carl, it’s all over but the cryin’. http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2014/nov/07/peters-demaio-campaign-registrar-ballot-update/
