Throw the noobs under the bus.
Were the questions about the role of the Keith Schiller Secret Service Private auxiliary force ever resolved? Ever Addressed? Looks to me as if they are extremely prone to compromise of one sort or another. Who’s to say that the fence jumping wasn’t on their beat (partially)?
Come on Secret Service , build a wall … a Big Beautiful Wall …28 feet high and we’ll pay for it
Not so much to keep people out but to keep the crazy person in so he can’t start WW3
The Secret Service will need real sustained attention to matters of professionalism if it is to resume its role as the nation’s premier security service.
And speaking of professionalism: “both who had been in the job for less than a year.” Surely it was meant to be “each of whom had been on the job…” A copy editor! A copy editor! My kingdom for a copy editor!
Not to mention:
…setting of several sensors…
“Two Secret Service officers have been fired over an incident in which a man jumped over the White House fence and remained on the grounds for more than 15 minute”
Devin Nunes?
C’mon. It’s Caitlin.
Who got fired when Nunes jumped the fence to get his classified briefing?
A copy editor might say that who had both would be a more direct, a more elegant, and one hell of a lot easier edit to make.
ETA By elegant, I mean it leaves the sentence in the writer’s voice.
OK. Have you thought of applying for the copy editor’s job at TPM? I’ll recommend you.
Gave editing up a few years after leaving law. Do they even have a copy editor? It looks to me like Joshua uses voice input. His homophone selection sometimes seems to verge on random.
