Discussion: Reports: Trump Mulls CNBC's Larry Kudlow For Top Economic Adviser

You beat me to it. Whenever I see Kudlow mentioned on the news, I instantly think cocaine and the way Republicans back then characterized his habit as no big deal compared to the coke habits of famous people they didn’t like.

I actually remember (or think I remember) seeing Soupy do this live on TV. If my memory serves (a very debatable premise) it was on New Year’s Day, and he was clearly referring to Mommy and Daddy being too hung over to wake up. I was old enough to know it was a joke, but I wonder how many kids actually did send Uncle Soupy money? He did promise to send a postcard from Tahiti…lol.

What a joke this administration is going to be. Kudlow has a bachelors degree in history. He is not an economist. He is an ideologue.

United States of Laughingstocks.

You don’t need a Phd when you have ideology. We’ll go back on the gold standard, eliminate 3/4 of government- especially Social Security, Medicare and all those enviro regulations- at which point we will have a pure free market and paradise will have been achieved. Easy, and you don’t need a fancy Phd to achieve paradise.

Noting his expertise with surveys, Trump had decided on Gene Rayburn for the post until he was informed by the quick-witted Jared Kushner of Gene’s death 16 years ago…

A few days ago, I saw a survey of a large group of voters (can’t find it right now to link it here). 52% of those who identified economic issues as the main factor in their voting decision voted for Clinton; 41% voted for Donald Trump. So much for the argument that economic anxieties cost the Democrats the election. You guessed it - those who identified immigration issues as their #1 concern voted overwhelmingly for Trump.

Not likely. Donald was cuckholded by the Aflac duck.

I’m sure you’ve seen this: Steve Bannon, Trump’s Top Guy, Told Me He Was ‘a Leninist’

Then we had a long talk about his approach to politics. He [Bannon] never called himself a “populist” or an “American nationalist,” as so many think of him today. “I’m a Leninist,” Bannon proudly proclaimed.
Shocked, I asked him what he meant.
“Lenin,” he answered, “wanted to destroy the state, and that’s my goal too. I want to bring everything crashing down, and destroy all of today’s establishment.” Bannon was employing Lenin’s strategy for Tea Party populist goals. He included in that group the Republican and Democratic Parties, as well as the traditional conservative press.

isn’t it amazing that the working class can do so much damage to themselves. ignorance is not bliss in this case.

consistency is important too. i love financial advisers who are always wrong.
