Discussion: Reports: Publisher Paid Former Doorman In 2015 For Rumor Of Trump Affair

$30,000 seems like a lot to quash a rumor.

Also too: No wonder trump isn’t really a billionaire, he spends too much money on trying to protect himself from himself.

If we could pool all the money trump has paid out to cover his lies and misdeeds over the years, we could take the entire TPM commentariat on a two week vacation to Richard Branson’s island.

What a sleazy POS ā€˜our’ President is…and the people he surrounds himself with. Gawd.

The publisher of the National Enquirer, a Trump-friendly tabloid, paid a former Trump Tower doorman $30,000 in late 2015 for his story about a rumor that President Donald Trump had a child with a Trump Tower resident.

Is it wrong to wish that the alleged mother is a woman of color or an illegal immigrant?

I also didn’t have a child by Donald J. Trump. Where is my $30,000.00?

$30k for a nonstory, $130k for a nonsexual non-affair…I’m ashamed to say I’ve totally misread Donald. He’s the most generous man alive…

I’ve known that Donald was a womanizer and jackass for decades. Do you think Cohen and the National Enquirer would pay me to stay quiet? How many millions do you think they’ve paid Howard Stern and his radio Rat Pack?

It was Putin’s or the Koch Brothers’ money. Who cares as they already got it all back with the GOP tax cut for the wealthy? Wonder how much they paid Ryan to resign.

For religious reasons, of course?

Perhaps this explains why Mercer puppet Steven Bannon has once again reared his hideous head…

So unreported in kind campaign contributions? Now if Pecker had a PAC then…

The sheer contextual confusion of the Trump menagerie is their version of Mr. Ribbon Bar.

…but that National Enquirer reporters determined that the rumor about Trump was not true.

Unlike the due diligence they performed to verify the nasty stories about Obama, Hillary, and anybody else they don’t like.

Oh, and did they verify all the stories about aliens, and Bigfoot, and Bat-Boy? I gues they must have, because I’ve certainly seen those, and many other, lurid covers while waiting in the supermarkey checkout line.

Imagine how many needy people we could feed with the money these Bozos spend propping the Orange One up…

Which is why he considers his claim to have avoided STDs to be such a big deal. ("No, donald, you don’t have an STD, you just need to take these pills to preserve your attractiveness.)

Can you imagine what an improvement it would be for this country if the NI were equal-opportunity or even just concentrated on encounters with otherwordly life forms? Every trip to the grocery store damages the public discourse just that little bit.

I’m not fan of the Koch Brothers, but they were definitely not backing Trump before the election. No way they would have done that for him. Russian money launderers, sure.
