He told Trump not to tweet the taco bowl. Whatever else he’s done in life, that’ll always be to his credit.

Does this mean he goes back to Russia with love? Finally clears out his desk in his Ukraine office? Or, looks for a new shell company and offshore account to move his laundered money to before the law comes knocking on his door?

Good news I guess is that he and tRumpf can still remain pen pals.

The question remains: Trump, Putin, are they still a thing? Absolutely, as long as the Trump campaign’s pro-Putin Ukraine policy changes continue to be part of the GOP platform.

"We’re about to find out how loyal Donald Trump is to Paul Manafort, the man running his campaign.

“Secret Ledger in Ukraine Lists Cash for Trump Aide” is the headline on the front page of Monday’s New York Times.

“Handwritten ledgers show $12.7 million in undisclosed cash payments designated for Mr. Manafort from (Viktor) Yanukovych’s pro-Russian political party from 2007 to 2012, according to Ukraine’s newly formed National Anti-Corruption Bureau. Investigators assert that the disbursements were part of an illegal off-the-books system whose recipients also included election officials,” Andrew E. Kramer, Mike McIntire and Barry Meier report from Kiev. “In addition, criminal prosecutors are investigating a group of offshore shell companies that helped members of Mr. Yanukovych’s inner circle finance their lavish lifestyles . . . Among the hundreds of murky transactions these companies engaged in was an $18 million deal to sell Ukrainian cable television assets to a partnership put together by Mr. Manafort and a Russian oligarch, Oleg Deripaska, a close ally of President Vladimir V. Putin.”

Manafort out, Mercers in. Manafort had some success keeping Trump close to the R’s, the Mercers are anti-R.

Let the games begin!

Resigned for personal reasons. Needed family time. After time off to care for a sick puppy, will be looking forward to the next big and lucrative step in his career.

Well, that can’t be. Because it was a campaign “expansion” not him being replaced.

Unless Trumpet…lied?

Ironically, Manafort now becomes the scapegoat for everything said or done wrong by Trump or the Trump campaign.

The media is already running the Trump campaign spin that the reason Trump didn’t pivot (and obviously last night’s statement was totally pivoting, so all is forgiven) was purely because of Manafort. Even though there are mountains of evidence that Manafort was begging Trump to act more “presidential”, nope…he is the one to blame for Trump not making the pivot.

All Russians ties? Manafort…even Ivanka vacationing Putin’s girlfriend…Manafort clearly arranged that. Attacks on the Khan family? Totally Manafort. Donations to veterans charities that didn’t get paid? Well, that was because Manafort stole the checks out of the mail room! Melenia plagiarizing Michelle? Manafort changed the speech and put it in the teleprompter. Worse than an invisible gremlin! He did everything.

He’s probably wishing he didn’t take the job with Trump and stayed below the radar. His scumminess couldn’t withstand the scrutiny of the press which had mostly ignored him until Trump, and now he’s like a Scooby Doo villain : “I would have got away with it if it weren’t for you kids!”
