Discussion: Reports: Megyn Kelly Accuses Roger Ailes Of Sexual Harassment In New Book

Gah. He’s an ugly, fat pig, and her husband is definitely not.

I’m surprised she didn’t take an airsickness bag in whenever she saw him.

"…including trapping her in his office for a “cat and mouse game.”

Who was Itchy and who was Scratchy?

Yeah! No wonder “there was blood coming out of her eyes” and “blood coming out of her wherever.”

Kelly did do the right thing by refusing to vouch for Ailes’ character when Carlson finally went public. Better late than never obviously. What I take away from this is just how pervasive Ailes’ reign of sexual terror was and that Kelly is getting ready to leave Fox. Good for her.

Stop defaming pigs! This is a human being. Pigs are not capable of such malice.

The way your mind works scares me sometimes. Glad you’re on the correct team!

Well, it’s the Republican way." I got my break, let others work for theirs. C’est la guerre and all that."

Many women have kept quiet, often out of fear, of speaking out about being sexually assaulted or harrassed, just look at the dozen Trump victims. There are lot of reasons victims don’t speak up immediately or even ever and circumstances vary for why one does when she (or he) does. Just be glad Gretchen Carlson (not even sure she was the first, just the most visible) did speak up as it exposed Ailes’ crimes and allowed others to feel more comfortable speaking out.

As a victim of sexual harassment she should have been more sensitive to the rights of other victims. She was the face of Fox News for a decade and all that it implies.

Ailes, one of the many Trump invisible men, nearly all rumored, known, soon to be convicted and convicted, foreign and domestic sex criminals…interesting.

Perhaps her husband has enough character to chip in with childcare making up for her shortcomings. Blame the victim seems to be the default position here. I recommend you take @tomanjeri’s post to heart. It’s an accurate description of what women experience in the workplace. It’s unique to women. Just like women are at risk of being sexually assaulted by an Uber driver.

the woman left her cellphone in the vehicle and after retrieving it the suspect allegedly kissed the victim and groped her.

Thirty-five years into the conservative movement.

Republican voters have been badly served.

Yep, the fish rots from the head. What a truly despicable person Roger Ailes is.

Sorry I don’t agree. Ms. Kelly had a big microphone to air her grievances and could have struck a blow for all women in a similar situation. Instead she took the money and with 'fair and balanced" coverage defended this obscene network. The damage that she and cohorts did to the body politic is incalculable.

I really know very little about Megyn Kelly having studiously avoided FOX’s regular programming over the years so maybe she has a history of demeaning other women or minimizing their experiences with lecherous men in a position of authority and that would account for the negatives here.
Please correct me if I’m off-base but it seems to me that she found a way to persevere and survive the pitfalls of a career woman trying to get ahead in a frat house full of the scum of mankind.

I can’t make the connection between hating her political leanings and therefore blaming her in some way for Roger Ailes’ behavior and the culture of misogyny at FOX.

Am I missing something here?

Does anyone remember when Megyn Kelly was praising Ailes as her mentor? Sometime in the last 1-3 years. Thought I read it here, can’t find it though since my Google fu sucks.

Not only that but she acts all tough and in your face (at least on camera). I still remember her talking shit about the little bikini clad girl whose back wedged itself under the thug poor police officer’s boot. Kelly was smug, condescending full of herself. Similar to Andrea Tartaros. Yeah, they seem to love authority - when it’s not directed at them.

Eff Kelly and the FOX she rode in on… And if that is “victim shaming”, so be it.

I have as much empathy for this political whore as I would for a woman being sexually harassed at Nazi Party headquarters. The point of Fux News is abuse of it’s viewers and the public in general. Why would I have an ounce of sympathy for this filth? Cancer is too good for this scum.

Apparently she did so on the Charlie Rose Show.

“Mr. Ailes denies her allegations of sexual harassment or misconduct of any kind,” Ailes’ attorney, Susan Estrich, said in a statement to Radar, noting, “Only one year ago on the Charlie Rose program, Megyn praised Ailes, saying, ‘I really care about Roger. And he has been nothing but good to me. And he’s been very loyal. And he’s had my back. And he’s looked out for me.’”

I don’t blame her for what happened to her. Ailes is a disgusting fucking nasty pig. What gets me is the whole organization over at FOX is one big lie and the people there are enablers. It’s almost cultish what goes on over there. They don’t give a fuck about anyone or anything exept making money and a name for themselves. Truth be damned. And I am not impressed one bit that she waits until she can sell her story before opening up about this.

No, not really. And maybe she’s smart enough to play a long game here and then drop the hammer at just the right time.
