At what point does Trump simply outsource press to FOX?

This is very bizarre the more I think about it. Did the Jane Mayer piece on Fox News’ cozy relationship with the WH have anything to do with this? Did Bill Shine have a hand in suppressing the Stormy Daniels story? Did the Trump campaign actively demand that Fox News suppress the story and did Shine and Ailes comply? Are they not co-conspirators then in a conspiracy to violate campaign finance laws?

Also, Shine’s statement that he also wants to spend time with his family tells me that this is a hush job, not a real campaign job.

Trump is desperate to be re-elected and avoid indictment… We have to stop that!

“I can make a lot more money in a year at the Trump “campaign” than at the White House”.

Seems like the Shine has worn off the Mango.

Just yesterday I was commenting on a story full of Trump Supporters who were attacking Democrats for not wanting Fox News to host their debate and was reminding them how Trump literally worked for Fox News and talks nightly with Fox News hosts like Hannity to discuss political strategies and staffed his admin with Foxies; and how these people couldn’t care less.

They all proved me right by thumbing me down and saying I was lying. Not that they don’t know that these things are true, but they’re so brainwashed they don’t see how they’re political at all and so it just makes sense that Trump and Fox News work together and I’m obviously biased for complaining. All they see is team warfare and if you’re not with them, you’re against them.

Well, well isn’t it nice of pResident Trump to sequester all those who have been “in the know” in one place, Trump’s re-election campaign. And hey guys and gals just because you’re not on the government payroll doesn’t mean you can’t be called to testify before a House committee.

It must be the beard.

I saw that but I’m assuming it’s more hands-off, less day to day interaction with the big baby. I mean hell, maybe he was happy at the job and loved coming in to work every day. But what’s a bigger deal—working in a campaign that hasn’t even started yet, or working in the damn White House at a high-level position? I’d bet a hundred bucks he got fed up.

Should have just explained to Trump that it’s not a beard but chin mustache, an alt-mustache if you will.

Trump’s 2020 campaign started January 21, 2017.

Maybe it’s a “kicked upstairs” ruse to get him further away from day-to-day contact with a pig.

Well the “campaign” is where people go to collect their monthly Hush Stipend.

Maybe so. And maybe Jane Mayer’s shining a spotlight down the rat hole had the desired effect. I hope she takes a few hours off tonight and kicks back. But not for too long.

:yum: My first thought is there’s more than meets the eye here than upon first reading the post.

The obvious reason is that Shine wasn’t doing a very good job as Trump’s chief propsganda minister. Trump’s press has only gotten worse since Shine took over. No thanks to Trump himself, but Trump lacking self awareness, expected Shine to polish the turd in spite of Trump.

Yes. I think the SDNY will want to have a talk with Shine.
