Discussion: Report: Two Former GOP Utah Attorneys General Arrested

What is this world coming to when a public official isn’t allowed to use another man’s private plan to fly to California? Ideas should be free and free to use!

One on your wallet, and the other on your Second Amendment Solution because if they can’t get one, they’ll go for the other. :frowning:

Mormonism is definitely not declining. It’s growing quickly. http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/religion/story/2012-05-02/religion-census-mromon/54701198/1

What a pity.

Talk about the banality of evil. These people (using the term advisedly) aren’t even breaking the law for some big payoff. They’re breaking it because it’s a tiny little bit more convenient.

Am I the only one who finds the correct usage of “attorneys general” from TPM to be absolutely shocking?

How appropriate that one of them is named “Swallow.” Gonna be a lot of that in the Federal Resort, and it won’t be Crystal Light!

Yup, can’t wait to hear the details on this connection. Please, please don’t tell me D’Onofrio is a RWNJ. He’s one of my favorite actors.

Don’t those good old fashion midwestern family, and Christian values just make you feel warm and fuzzy all over.

From checking Wikipedia on D’Onofrio: He was involved in an outfit that supported (or treated?) cops in Utah who had been poisoned by exposure in meth labs. Consulting with an AG might make sense in that context.

Meth labs in Utah? You betcha. I know of at least one call girl ring in SLC because my former step-daughter (her mother and I divorced 12 years ago) ran it.

2 Ex-GOP Utah Attorneys General Arrested

Although, by reading TPM’s sloppy home page headline you might think that they left the GOP.

Anyone else notice, the past four days of comments have vanished?

Money is free speech according to John Roberts and the conservative and religulous RATS on the Supreme Court. By this reasoning bribery should be free speech and completely legal especially since religulous conservative politicians are involved. Bribery is totally non-violent and involves the simple exchange of favors and free speech. I cannot see why these two Attorneys General John Swallow ® and Mark Shurtleff ®, are being persecuted like this. I am sure that there is a conservative religious principle like contraception, women’s rights or the right to vote that is being infringed by arresting them on bribery charges.

Is President Obama to blame for this? We need more law suits against President Obama for the tyranny and for trashing the Constitution.

We need to more whiskey and orange tanning salon visits for John Boehner and extra chin enhancement for Mitch McConnell so that they can do more impeachment and obstruction.

In Salt Lake City’s war on crime, the worst criminal elements are pursued by the detectives of the Attorneys General Case Squad. These are their stories.
