If it was all stage craft, who is the intended audience? Members of the media (Intimidation), the general public (assuage concerns about the rift between the administration and the Intelligence community), Putin’s Kleptocracy machine (showing off that they are utilizing the stage-craft as suggested?) Do we know when the speech was first announced? It seems like Trump wanted to be out of the White House on Saturday, and this whole debacle - ratings, crowd photo trutherism, and all - simply followed from that.
