Discussion: Report: Trump Aide Sent Email About Possible Meeting With Campaign, Putin

Gradually we see a pattern of Trump campaign contacts wlth Russia. At the same time GOP senators are leaking to the press Trump’s increasingly unhinged attempts to obstruct the Russia investigation. While this is going on, we’re hearing practically nothing about Mueller’s work.

It’s increasingly obvious Trump knows he’s guilty and is afraid Mueller is closing in. While it’s frustrating we hear little about Mueller, many of us can get solace from Trump’s insane ranting. He knows he’s in trouble.

All the evidence shows collusion, indeed. No wonder Trump is acting so guilty.

Jesus H. Christ! What more proof do they need? A print out of the lunch order and both Trump’s and Putin’s debit cards splitting the bill?

Saw this she was on fire last night. Loved the extended Grassley townhall clip she played. And she got right to the point from the get go, avoiding the sometimes-uninteresting long block of context she provides beforehand.

Hope to have time this weekend to do some drawings/timelines on PPT to depict this, but we see that the Russians penetrated the campaign and other Trump social or business connections. More and more, it looks like the Russians had thoroughly embedded themselves into the Trump campaign and Trump’s businesses.

In one circle is the Sessions FP team. On that team, we now have proven, repeated contacts with Sessions, Dearborn, Papadopoulos, Carter Page. Dearborn was involved in the Mayflower meeting, likely in other Sessions-Kislyak meetings, and would appear to know many on the Russian side well. The thing that is interesting about the Sessions angle is that it’s the younger guys (Papado + Page) that have the prior Russian connections.

In another circle we have the campaign/family: Manafort, Flynn, Junior, Kushner - all had prior contacts with, met and leveraged relationships with Russians/Russian intermediaries throughout the campaign.

In another circle we have the mafia & Oligarch links: Cohen, Sater, Ryobolovlev, Agalarov, Tevfik Arif and people to whom they are connected.

In another circle, we have the free agents: Roger Stone, Julian Assange, Nigel Farage.

With the Steele Dossier testimony possibly becoming public, the lid is going to fully blow off this thing over the course of the fall.

Brilliant.

@khyber900 Man, don’t waste your time. There isn’t a screen in the world big enough to encompass a PPT slide with all the links, plus you’d have all those people writing with additions, and anyone on the other side would reject it because fake news.

OTOH, I’d love to see it.

So what useful info did the Russians really give anyone? I’m fine with Donald going down even if he got nothing really useful. But if did get something I’d like to know what that was at least somewhat. Just doesn’t seem like anything spicy was ever show about any democrats unless maybe Menendez was exposed because of this.

Edit: The funny part to read is that the Russians had some info on Hillary conversations but no embarrassing conduct!

This tightrope that Trump is on now, seems to be heading to the road of “knowingly and willful collusion” with Putin during the 2016 election.

According to Politico this morning, Dearborn – who is now a Deputy Chief of Staff – has been tasked by Kelly with imposing some order on the Nazi-in-Chief’s schedule, by planning events further in advance and including regular press availabilities and travel.

sent the email passing along information from an individual from WV, a reference to West Virginia, sources told CNN. The individual was looking to connect the Trump campaign to Putin, CNN reported.

This is undoubtedly billionaire WV governor Jim Justice, the guy who sold his coal mine to the Russkies and then bought it back for a fraction of what he sold it for.

More on this sleazy asshole here: https://democraticgovernors.org/news/dga-statement-on-jim-justice-announcement/

Surprising how permanent a simple email becomes when you push the send button. Far more permanent than a snail mail delivered letter.

Let’s all write Trey Gowdy and ask him to “Benghazi” Trump the way he did Hillary - throw the same party for Sessions - maybe Pence too: he was in charge of the transition when Flynn was “outed” but then worked another ten days.

Good point. My guess is he’s on duty over at WaPo too. Demanding times for Trump apologists.
