Discussion: Report: Rubio Helped Ex-Con Brother-In-Law Obtain Real Estate License

Rubio: I like to help out. Once I become POTUS, I plan to help each and every member of my family even more. I firmly believe in family values.

ā€œOrlando made some very big mistakes almost 30 years ago, served his time, and has paid his debt to society,ā€ Harris wrote in an email. ā€œToday he is a private citizen, husband and father, simply trying to make a living. It is appalling and shameful that The Washington Post continues to drag him into the spotlight.ā€

Next, Bill Cosbyā€™s lawyers will criticize the press for repeatedly bringing up the names of his alleged victims. Havenā€™t they suffered enough already?

And Bill Clintonā€™s indiscretions were about 20 years ago too. What is your point, Senator? The GOP cannot have it both ways. You throw dirt and it comes back around asshat. You are now toast.

Well at least he means it when he says ā€œfamily valuesā€.

Rubio needs all the votes he can get in Florida.

Yep. Rubio is not ready for Prime Time. And it is unlikely he will ever be. He might not even be able to retain his Senate seat should he change his mind and decide to run for it.

So Rubioā€™s brother-in-law is Scarface? That will go over wellā€¦

Soā€¦Orlando Cicilia is not on the voting rolls?

He sang like a canary.

So imagine this: a guy who was very possibly given tens of thousands of dollars by the murderous drug kingpin his own sister was married to eventually becomes President. Do you really believe that associates of his brother-in-law who are still in the ā€œbusinessā€ wouldnā€™t hesitate to apply some pressure using Orlando?

Jesus Christ on a Tap-Dancing Cracker, can you imagine the shitstorm on Fox News if this was in Hillaryā€™s background?

Especially considering that back in 1989, our nation was deep in the middle of the ā€˜Lock Up Anyone With Drugs For Lifeā€™ phase.

I am for granting all deserving ex-cons the ability to better integrate back into society and be a contributing memberā€“and perhaps Mr. Cicilia was a very deserving personā€“but Rubio totally fails here on the transparency issue. Iā€™m sorry Mr. Cicilia and Barbara are being dragged into this, but when you trust shit for anything ā€¦ shit happens.

If policies were applied across the board ā€¦ but Iā€™d be willing to bet $50 Mr. Cicilia is on the voting rollsā€“or has been at least once since his release. (And Iā€™m hard-up for money!).

Implication is ā€˜just like heā€™d do for anyone elseā€™ which is false.

ā€œMarco has recommended scores of Floridians for various professional positionsā€

And how many or these had paid their debt to society?

Nah.
Rubio would appoint him to head the DEA.

Gotta give props to you because you addressed this part of Rubeā€™s filthy background some months ago. You also touched on the financial disclosures in his background and overall lack of financial acumen. Jeb* will pounce and campaign trackers are stocking up on Red Bull as we read this.

If the guy has stayed clean, then Rubio has good judgement. I donā€™t see how this hurts him
