Discussion: Report: Priebus Warned Trump Of 'Spiral Of Calamity' If Sessions Resigned

Reminds me of a time I was hanging out on my hometown airport, and there was a plane doing touch and gos with the pilot seating in the right seat, which I though odd because in that type of aircraft pilots sit on the left. It turned out to be that we were seeing the instructor, the trainee was sitting in the left side but he was too short and we couldn’t see him until he opened the door to get out,

Or Calamity Spiral would be a good code name for the whole WH staff.

Personally, I’m opposed to violence.

Conservatives must be careful to understand, though, that liberal opposition to the 2nd Amendment isn’t because we’re afraid of gun noise.

It’s an archaic remnant from a different time that’s been twisted into fundamental meaninglessness. (Look, Antonin, I’m an Originalist) but the 2nd Amendment serves a purpose.

If Sessions goes, Trump goes. One way or the other. We’re going to settle Trump’s Russia thing here and now.

Maybe he would of run for AL governor or AL Supreme Court Justice.

You have to keep reminding yourself there’s no bottom. I know that’s incomprehensible. It’s like thinking about the universe—it’s either infinitely large, which is incomprehensible, or it’s not, which is also incomprehensible. (Maybe it’s comprehensible to like 11 astrophysicists.) There is no bottom. And no, I don’t really believe it either.

Isn’t it though? Thank you for pointing that out.

So this maladministration is prime example of a black hole?

You had me at “universe”.

Have you seen the picture of the atom?

According to the report, Priebus predicted a “Spiral of Calamity” if Sessions resigned, but there is still a “Spiral of Calamity” in this WH without Sessions resigning. Ergo, the Trump administration is a “Spiral of Calamity.”

Perfect analogy. Kelly’s a perfect example. Respected up and down before, however undeserved. Now his life is destroyed. You hit that event horizon and sayonara, baby.

Rachel Brand — who resigned last week — would say, “Forget it. I’m not going to be involved with this,”

So no surprise she left. Maybe WH folks helped find a soft landing. Better to get her out quietly than force her to say in public the place is a bottomless cesspool.

Thank whatever deity that Priebus had the foresight and strength of character to speak truth to power and save the country from the destructive forces of a “spiral of calamity.” A straight line drop into oblivion is so much easier.

Trump is such a nightmare Ivanka, Don Jr., and Eric would resign from being his kids if they could. Is it possible to disown your own father?

Why are we obsessing over this piddly-ass crap when there’s REAL news going on in the world?! I mean, “abstinence queen” Bristol Palin is being divorced by her husband! Jebus, people - get your fucking priorities straight!

“Spiral of Calamity”. Wasn’t that a James Bond flick?

I think it was a Martin Cruz Smith thriller. Oh, and you were of course jesting. Bristol getting divorced is about as surprising as the tide tables.
