Discussion: Report: Lobbying Docs Show Pruitt's Townhouse Deal Did Create Conflicts

There’s not enough discussion about corruption in SCOTUS itself. You could probably pay Thomas or Gorsuch in cash.

“Contemptuous” would be exactly the right word. It’s not merely that they weren’t expecting accountability in a Trump regime (and so far, there hasn’t been and may never be.) It’s that they thought the entire apparatus if investigation and reporting would be suspended. He thought the paperwork was a silly formality and he could say whatever he wanted because no one would ever look behind it. And certainly the idea of having a personal moral obligation to avoid actual conflicts and overt corruption was alien to them.

Not unlike Jared, one notices.

I don’t think he was supposed to pay. The $50 was a target that didn’t need to be hit.

I agree completely, plus Pruitt’s daughter was being rented space there which is a whole other conflict of interest and needs to be carefully scrutinized as well. People like Pruitt was used to ripping off the taxpayers in Oklahoma and probably found his government salary insufficient to the grandiose style of life to which he and his family have grown accustomed.

Let us hope the Media continue to do their job and bring to light the stunning corruption of Carl Icahn’s hand picked EPA Chief.

Make the checks out to “Ginni Thomas.” She has a totally separate career, so there’s no problem with conflict of interest. Gorsuch doesn’t want cash. He just wants to make the hippies and liberals suffer for attacking his mother when she was Pruittizing the EPA under Reagan.
