It’s not the first time. Reagan’s campaign got Iran to hold onto the hostages until the day of his inauguration, just so Carter wouldn’t get any credit for their release. And the Nixon campaign promised the North Vietnamese that they’d get better negotiating terms if they waited until Nixon was President to negotiate the end of hostilities and sign a treaty.

The Republican Party is objectively Anti-American.
