I bet he said a little more than Cohen’s lawyer let on, and Mr. Ryan was just trying to get confirmation of the entire testimony that had been related to him by Nunes. Because…nobody believes Nunes. Not even the co-conspirators he’s trying to help.

In Chapter 4,095 of everything they accuse the other side of doing, they have done themselves…I need to start keeping a running tab of what they accused Obama/Clinton/Rice of, and what they actually did themselves. We know that GOP staffers from this committee were already cited for leaking…so probably one of them, likely with Nunes’ approval.

The intriguing question is did Trump know it was a fake or was he bamboozled. For instance the seller told him it was genuine and owned by a Nigerian prince who needed the cash right away.
Another obstruction of justice charge? Along with other charges of leaking information.

That is so easily disproved that I doubt a seller would try it. Not with the original on the wall of an American museum. Even if the seller thought he wouldn’t check.
He didn’t buy it anyway - he has an interior decorator. One with no taste, yet, Trump didn’t arrange the furniture or pick out the chandeliers or the artwork.
It was bought knowing full well it was not the original. Trump just lies because he doesn’t operate on the same plane the rest of us do and fails to see that it might matter that the facts are known - he doesn’t care. What are facts?

Hand painted reproduction fine artworks are a dime a dozen from Chinese reproduction mills.
You pick the size. They’re cheap. Just put a bona fide antique frame around them and you get instant class.

God knows who he did business with but I know enough about the legit art world that I know nobody would sell a patently fake Renoir to someone as real.
I believe it was painted in China - it was probably a gift to Trump from the company that makes his ties.
